Quote from: AO on October 14, 2024, 05:09:48 PMAt 10pm last night, I was overruled and the furnace was turned on to get us an extra 5 degrees.

Inside temp before you turned it on?

The wife threw an extra blanket on the bed last night, so I should be good for a while.  She hasn't mentioned the f word yet.

You have her fully committed to Victory.  A fantastic example of great team building, I might say.  Nice work.

Outside temp was 26 this morning here in Fargo...inside temp at 5:45 was 62 with the AC still on and set to run at 68.  I have a secret weapon.........

Aaannnndddd I'm out. Flying back from Virginia my wife noticed that the house temp was 62 and used the phone app to engage the F-word. I did not consent, but was also not asked for my opinion. Sad day ...

63 in the house this morning... No furnace yet when I left for work.

Tonight will be the true test.

He's having himself a year. Being that highly ranked in both completion percentage and yards is the true story. He's not dinking and dunking his way to 77%. His accuracy on some tightly contested deep balls against Bethel was as impressive as it was frustrating.

So, what to do when you're home sick with an intestinal bug? Why, watch both the BU/Macalaster and the Cobber/Johnnie games, of course. Fell asleep during both of them. When you're sick, you sleep. Knowing their outcomes may have had some influence on my attentiveness. If the Cobbers prepare for BU like they did the Johnnies, that's going to be a long day for the Royals, as I don't think they are currently at that stage in their game to start anywhere on the field and score a touchdown. They've done it, but can they do it at will? - nope, not yet anyways.

Boys of Fall

Average spread for the MIAC games this week is 38.9.  Has it ever been this high before??

corn horn

The nail biter game of the week is a 30.5 point spread. This speaks volumes about the status of MIAC football. Ouch.

Robert Zimmerman

Woke up to the house at 64 degrees this morning, but still master of my domain. My daughter is back at St. Ben's after being home for fall break, but now my wife is starting to complain about it being too cold in the house. However, my 17 year old is all in and he desperately wants a furnace championship. He suggested we buy my wife a heated vest today, which would defeat the purpose of saving money from not turning the furnace on, but I like his enthusiasm. With him on board, it's two against one in the house.

Still in as well!  I kept the faith with Duff's encouragement to push through to this weekend.  There were certainly complaints.  Looks like we'll be able to open the windows to warm the house up this afternoon, and should be good for a number of days, with highs in the 70s all the way through next tuesday.

Still King of the Castle, here.  There have been a few mild protests, but I have squashed them.  We were down to 63 the other day, but it should rebound nicely now.
