I don't want to jinx your boys at the half against UWRF, BDB, but they are putting together a good season.

Fake Tough-Guy of the Week Award:

#35 Omar Madkour - Auggie Tech

Omar with a block on kickoff return, down 35-0. Defender reaches for the tackle, allowing Omar (aka FTGOTW) to block him to the ground. After the whistle, Omar shoves the defender back into the ground. Then offers his hand to help him up, but pulls it back and struts off.

Vintage FTGOTW behavior. Down 35, playing for a bad team you were unable to crack the starting roster of, showing your potential on not so special teams. Gotta love it   ::)  :o

Just turned on the Carleton game. Score a bit closer than I anticipated. Anyone able to provide a first half recap?

SJU lost 2 fumbles (one was on the goaline in the final minute of the half). CAR had just 1 first down, but it was a 75 yard TD pass. Other than that, CAR offense had nothing going.

Any word on why Rivière played and not Dittbenber

VOJ said he was thinking about redshirting.  I don't understand how that would happen.

Putting out a little Magic on loan...

Soooooo close. Maybe in overtime.

Nope.  Hard loss, BDB, after a great effort.

I wonder how the top 25 will go this week.  I think there are too many WIAC teams in it.  Bethel and Coe should be in the top 25 and UWWW and UWLC should both be out.

I have no clue how to handicap the WIAC at this point. UWP looked like the cream of the crop until today. Total crap shoot week to week.

Wouldn't he need to be injured?

That there is a lot of points the Baptist Royals put up today. While I expected a clear W, I sure as **** didn't expect that.

I was surprised too. I felt like Augsburg hung around for a minute against SJU. TBH they just gave up in the second half, effort level was pretty poor.

Aside from 1) the breakdown in the secondary that gave up the TD, and 2) Mendez's brain-fart on the muffed punt, that was a dominant performance by the Johnnies today.  29 to 5 advantage in first downs, 193 to -6 yards rushing.  428 to 152 yards passing (and 75 of those came in the TD pass).  I thought the Johnnies tackled very well today.

A tradition unrivaled...

Looks like the Gusties have played 3 different QBs the last 3 weeks. Sandven was the QB last year that beat the Johnnies, but he either got benched or is injured. Breitbach, their AA receiver also didn't play this week? Any info on this from a Gustie fan?

Also only 35 penalty yards...and i believe no personal fouls.
