Yeah, I was thinking that Aaron was having an off day (and I still think it was a sub-par day for him), but most QBs would love a stat line like that.

Took 8 sacks, at least a couple or so due to holding the ball too long, IMHO.  2 intentional grounding calls? Hard to criticize him, he's a fine QB, glad he's running the Johnnie show this year.

The link doesn't exist until about 5 minutes before it goes live. Look for it on the front page of our site right before 4 CT.

Quote from: hazzben on November 17, 2024, 09:50:11 AMYeah this is a unique twist in bracket intrigue. We aren't sweating the selections, but this will be a whole new animal. Especially what they do with flights and the odd number of island schools.

Here's to them getting creative.

Thanx for this insight Pat/Greg, as it helps me better understand what is more likely to happen concerning the first round: "Division III coaches were told back over the summer that these would be treated more like 7A vs. 7B and 8A vs. 8B in each bracket, but to make them make more sense to the general fan, we are still seeding these teams as 7-8-9-10 and generally pairing 7 vs. 8 and 9 vs. 10 when geography allows.'

The first IG, I am 100% certain he just saw a red jersey and unloaded the ball to avoid a sack.  It just happened to be an offensive lineman.
He's phenomenal.  I thought we'd see a big drop-off after Erdmann, but Syverson has filled some huge shoes!

Johnnies will have their hands full hosting UW-LAX

Lake Forest gets a bye? Well Coe or Bethel will beat them in the second round.

Yeah, that's not a great 2nd round draw.

Seriously...got hosed by NCAA last year...this year "#1 NPI" but will give you a WIAC team in your first game.

And if they win that, Susquehanna. And if they win that, likely Platteville.

Tough draw.

I don't think Bethel and Coe have ever played before. At least not in the last 30 years.

Gonna have to be road warriors, but that can be galvanizing.

Agree, SJU got tough Rd 2 draw, but UWL is clearly beatable. My money is still on Syverson.

sju56321

Just weird-why put bethel in SJU bracket? Can't the ncaa be more creative even with npi?
The lax draw is tough but that was normal in years past, beat a team like Northwestern and then play wiac. But Wartburg gets a killer draw.

gobigred425

Obviously being the #1 seed means nothing. Bethel has an easier road than SJU. I expect Bethel to easily beat Coe and Lake Forest before being challenged by Platteville.

If SJU hopes to make a run, it will go LAX, Susquehanna, Platteville/Bethel, before seeing North Central in the semis. Easily the hardest road of any top seed.

AO

All I'm hearing from the group is you'd rather not see La Crosse in the 2nd round so you're all going to be big UNW fans Saturday.

Retired Old Rat

Yes, I'm counting on an upset. What's your early line?

Anyone have any insight as to why Bethel appears to be headed to Coe?

NPI has Bethel @ 28, Coe @ 30. Seems to me that Bethel should be hosting based on ranking, but I may have missed something.
