I don't think the coats came out during the regular season with the mild temps. Wonder if we'll see a return of the mega heater in the playoffs.

Soft?  You should know that a little snow and cold doesn't slow down the Duff clan.  The problem is that we just found out that junior has a wrestling tournament that day.

To quote John Gagliardi (back when you played and a backup QB asked if he should attend his sister's wedding the day of a SJU game) "Ah, $hit Duff...go to the next one"

While it was sunny that day in 02, it was cold as hell (fixing the turf seams the night before) and during the game.  Good thing we removed the metal stakes before Coe started warming up on their end of the field.

That doesn't sweeten the pot for this guy.

You also will be able to watch all D2 and FCS playoff games.

Ah Redtooth, it's much easier to say when it's not your kid!  This year marks his transition from youth wrestling to high school.  That takes precedence.  If anyone wants my seats, lemme know.

Yes, that day in '02 was damn cold!

But I won't.  Surprisingly, I don't watch a ton of sports.

Duff, hopefully you realize I was kidding about missing the wrestling tourney...our kids always come first as they grow up way too fast.

SJU13, the coats will be out in full force along with the latest heating technology available in Central Minnesota......hopefully no one starts their game pants on fire like used to happen.

Interesting piece of intel regarding the MIAC Championship Game and divisions.

We/I thought that both were going away next year, and a return to full round robin with 1 non-con game was the plan. Sounds like divisions will be gone, but the MIAC Championship game of 1 v 2 in the standings will remain. Basically still trying to protect weaker teams from having to play all the top teams, and still having a championship game decide the AQ.

So we could still very well end up with 1 v 2 re-matches next year for the final week of the season. Seems really dumb, but we gotta protect bottom teams from really having to play against everyone I guess.  ::)

DuffMan

That's just for next year, though, correct?  I thought I read that next year is the transition year.

Tomorrow ESPN+ has:
MN-Mankato @ Augustana
NDSU @ South Dakota
Montana @ Montana State
There's also 4 D1 college wrestling matches on tomorrow.

And for free on Fox 9+ you can watch U$T in their home finale against Dayton. They need to win to be .500 on the season. I was thinking about putting on some red and heading over to OShaghenessy Stadium to see if they can finish 5-7 overall and 4-4 in the Pioneer. Missouri Valley might need to wait!

Duff, I see MG is in the 6A Prep Bowl championship game tonight.

Some quality entertainment/drama usually goes down in the Prep Bowl.

Bethel v. Coe Game Notes are up.

Hansen's Playoff Matchup Advanced Stats for the game as well.

Coe looks to be really physical, very good running and stopping the run, and a great D. I think Bethel is favored but we need to take care of the ball.

Well, that setup is far superior to getting St. Thomased or ASCed out of a viable league. That would probably be the logical next step without some bottom feeder protection.

Have some respect when you talk to Duff about matters involving temperature. He's the reigning multi-year Thermostat Challenge Champion.

Yeah, they're crazy good.  There's like 8 kids with DI schollies.  We are heading over to the game as soon as jr. is done with wrestling practice.
