Sorry if somebody already brought this up by why does Bethel get to host Lake Forest this week despite being the worse seed?

Lake Forest told the NCAA they didn't want to host if they made the tourney.

I remember listening to that one on the radio.

I think i listened to both on the radio.
If I recall I was typing a paper on one of the Apple II computers in the CSB library while listening to that Dayton game. Floppy disks 💾 and listening to games on the radio...I guess that makes me old.

Heh.  I typed all my papers over at CSB as well.  That new library was much easier to concentrate in.  The Alcuin's dusty smell and overly warm air made me so sleepy I couldn't stay focused for more than ten minutes.  If I had pencil and paper homework or reading to do, I did that all in my dorm room.

I worked at the Alcuin front desk. I swear on weekend nights there was more life in the county morgue than that library. It's crazy how things have changed...I remember people checking out VHS tapes to watch on the VCR's in the corner of the top floor. Closing that place up at night always gave me the creeps. You had to go down to the dungeon and make sure people didn't get left down there.
Clemens Library at CSB brand new when I started and always seemed to be the place to see and be seen...part library part hookup joint.

You might need Instagram to see this...wonder if my old floppy disks i have stored away would still work?

Back from hunting and fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.  Fun times!

The founders of ESPN went to DePauw.  When St. Olaf played football at DePauw years ago there were several mentions about ESPN working to televise D3 games through some channel.  It was before there was a ton of streaming channel options if I remember correctly.  I've really enjoyed having ESPN+.  I get to watch several games that are not usually available in DFW.  I can't tell you the last time I have sat down to watch a DFW pro sports team outside of a World Series game.

I remember a few people talking about the quality of the St. Olaf broadcasts.  Having to produce our Christmas Festival every year allows us to use the same equipment which really helps.  Also selling our radio station around 2004 was a huge help as it allowed the college to move to more streaming options.  Selling the radio station was a huge issue on campus and with alumni.  In the end with the growth of streaming services it was clearly the right decision.

Lake Forest's press box doesn't meet standards as in there isn't a booth for either set of coaches, and so Lake Forest did not file to host.

Just saw that tonight on FS1 at 9:30 CST there will be a segment on Larry Kehre's - Mount Union's former coach that created their dynasty.

I will gladly take that loss in basketball if it means a win in football on Saturday.

The Johnnie basketball team is very good this year and I want them to do well, but I would much rather have a football playoff win over a non-conference basketball win.

with injuries yesterday.

If i were the coach there I would have petitioned my athletic department to play at another school in the vicinity rather than making a roadtrip.
