Fantastic channel, AO.  Thanks (and almost thanks to faunch ;) ).

It has extended highlights of many playoff games, including BU.  And a number of interesting regular season games.  Whoever runs this channel is a dedicated D3 fan.

Wonder if they need to have some kind of deal w/ ESPN to create and post these videos. My understanding is the ESPN has the rights to these games.
I can still hear Pat Summerall telling us "No broadcast, rebroadcast without the express written consent CBS and the NFL"

SJU Alum: I received an email tonight that Father Wilfred Theisen passed away this evening. I didn't know him personally but he was an iconic fixture on campus. I believe he taught physics for 47 years. In addition the link below is to his J-Club Hall of Honor write up. I believe it says he had not missed an on campus football game dating back to 1945. That's some serious longevity.

RIP Fr. Wilfred...with him and Gagliardi upstairs maybe this is our year!

Oh, incredibly sad.  Fr. Wilfred was awesome.  It's incredible that he lived this long--he had to be pretty old when I was at SJU, and it's been over 20 years.  I saw him at games this season.  He loved Johnnie football!!!  I took physics with him.  Whenever I had questions, I'd inevitably end up in his office for 45 minutes talking football.  During one of those visits, his phone rang.  I asked, "Don't you want to answer that?" To which he replied, "No, it's my sister and I don't want to talk to her right now."  ;D

Rest in peace, Fr. Wilfred.

They do need to have permission and I'm sure that they don't, btw.

That's what I get for doing that on my phone while trying to eat my lunch...oops.

Had to laugh at the Charmin-soft flop in the end zone by #33 (around 5:50
Mark), but also appreciate the gamesmanship.

Ice Bear

Ice Bear says the more he watches Syverson the more he's impressed with his arm strength. Ice says at this level it's rare to find a QB who throws with that much power and makes it look effortless. Ice says at least this is the ****ing way it appears to him. The Bear is im-****ing-pressed to say the least.

Hansen has his Playoff Rd 3 Advanced Stat previews up.

Wart v Bethel looks like a razor thin Bethel advantage. TO's likely tip the balance one way or the other.

SJU v Sus looks like the Johnnie O should have a day. I'm saying Syverson throws for 400 and 4-5 TD's. D gets enough stops to make it comfortable but not a monkey stomp.

He's also crazy accurate dropping it into tight windows or over the top of the second level. Rare balance between arm strength and touch. I won't miss facing old man Syverson when he's done

These "mini movie" and "cinematic recap" productions have come such a long way in only a few years. Ten years ago, we maybe got a highlight reel with one camera angle and some music over the top. It was great at the time because we had next to nothing when I was in college (2003-2007). What they are doing now blows my mind.

Limited sample size, but I feel like there's a calmness to his game this year that is different than last year too.  He was obviously still very good in prior years, but seemed just a tiny bit too fast / impatient (to my non-expert eye).  This year it just seems under control for him.

I thought when Jackson Erdmann graduated we wouldn't see another QB of his type at SJU for at least a decade or two. Aaron has been fantastic. Next year's QB is going to have some huge shoes to fill.

But enough about next year. We still have games to play this year. Here's to Aaron becoming the winningest QB in SJU history and adding a fifth football national championship in Collegeville!

Speaking of Susquehanna, is there any discussion about this being is the first time a famous Amos Alonso Stagg team is playing against the famous John Gagliardi team? Two of the most famous football coaches in the history of football and finally their teams are meeting up?

I'm assuming there's a positive correlation that the OL play this year has also improved.
