Heads up to those coming to the BU/CON game tomorrow we will be grilling in the parking lot next to the stadium from 10:30-12:15.  Everyone is welcome including Concordia fans.

Was it '96 or '97 that Augsburg beat the Johnnies at Augsburg under the lights.  I was at that game.  The best part was when three guys at the end of the game hung off the goal post trying to bring it down.  No luck getting it down.

It was 97 coocoo- they had some great teams in 96-98 with Hvisty as their star receiver.  But in 1998 the Jays played there again and beat them by tightening in on Hvisty in the 4th quarter, leading SJU fans to chant "Herbst is better".

Props to Haege if he is imposing such discipline upon the Augsburg team.  That squad has a reputation, and such steps could help in turning that reputation around.  My question, though, is that why hasn't it been announced yet?

Freebird-- I think BU has a chance for an upset if Cord comes out flat; but BU is only playing for pride now and Cord is still playing for a playoff birth, so there should be more motivation for Cord than BU.  Redlands has played a tough schedule and are better than their record appears, but may not have the guns to take Oxy.

Settle down. Threatening bodily harm to an opposing team once the game has gotten beyond reach is never a good thing to do. Even if you don't play, you're just making your school, your team, and yourself look bad.

What is this supposed to mean? Are you guys trying to beat us or just wound as many of our guys as you can?

I know that SJU is a very close knit team and on the football field, the eye for an eye rule applies. If your boys even start cheap shotting, Dumo, Good, Hawn, Schumacher and a bunch of other guys with arms of greater circumfrence than your head will not be happy.

Face it, SJU has a superior team to Auggie tech, we're faster, smarter, stronger, and all around better.

I like Hagen but if Auggie Tech even thinks about cheap shots, he'd be a likely retaliation target.

Back from the game, we beat the Lawyers 30-12. No Monkeystomp, but close enough!

KR coming up big on the defensive side of the ball with 3 sacks a bunch of hurries and an unnecessary roughness penalty for knocking an O-lineman on his ass... aparently when an O-lineman blocks you in flag football you can't push back... who knew?
