LOL i agree with cobbernation i thought the oles QB was supposed to be big stuff...... looks like nothing vs. the SJU starters

SJU played incredible today. It appears the turnover bug has been exterminated. Time to get ready for another deep playoff run. My tip to all STO loyal fans: Do not make the drive to Cobberland it is such a long drive and after the game it will feel so much longer. The Cobbs big next week.

Holy Monkey Stompage.

I was impressed by the aggressiveness with which Olaf started the game. Lots of shotgun and spread. Good strategy. It helped defend against the pass rush and blitzes. They looked pretty good those first two drives. Kudos.

I voted monkey stomp in the poll simply because of the Olaf secondary statistics. Their poor secondary and total lack of pass rush proved to be the deciding factors. Olies, you will fair no better, and perhaps worse, against the onslaught of the Cobber Nation. I see the Cobbers rushing for over 300 years and passing for over 250. I also see Olaf netting under 200 yards of offense against the Cobber D.

Have fun Concordia. I know you will. Here's to seeing you in the playoffs!!!!  ;D

St. Olaf got obliterated.  That was one of the worst games that I have ever seen.  All of the guys that had been out with injuries played.  I had expected that.  I think the officiating was terrible today, but the Oles played terrible.  The Oles lost the game on poor pass coverage with that D they are running.  The D let too many players behind them.  It was not lack of speed, because they ran numerous Johnnies down.  If they guy gets by you on a mistake tackle him.  Take the penalty and move on.  The offense that showed it could be good, but never was able to establish anything long term.  SJU was the better team today.

I will travel to Concordia next week.  The Oles are still my boys, and I will support them.  Here is to next week.  Go Oles!

Linneman giving Meidt hell about being a classless coach.

"This is the same stuff Bethel did in the late 90's... look at the common thread. If you're down, get back into the game by scoring, not by cheap shotting the QB... garbage absolute garbage and it comes straight from the top."

Congratulations to SJU, it seems like Meidt continues to show through his "coaching" that he is a classless tool, like I stated after the UST-St Olaf game.  I recall having to defend my opinion at that time and so I am not surprised to hear of the Olaf cheapshots, just reconfirms what I thought of him.

UST looked good today against the Gusties, but will need to play a perfect game if they stand a chance against SJU.  If UST beats Hamline next week they will be riding a 3 game win streak with a little momentum vs SJU.  SJU seems to be peaking at the right time. so maybe a long run into the playoffs is in their future.

Wow, I haven't seen a Johnnie stompage like that in a loooooong time. John sent a message today. Holy crap.

I was extraordinarily disappointed in the tackling of the Oles. For a while, it looked like we had a whole team of Blake Elliotts out there, what with all the broken tackles and shifty moves. Relatively harmless swing passes turned into long gains with ease. It was uncanny.

Heck of a game. Wowzers. I wasn't expecting anything that lopsided. It'll be interesting to see how STO bounces back against the Cobbers. CC is a nasty, nasty team to play against. The way they pound the ball on the ground and knock the O senseless on defense could make for another ugly game. STO looked quick, but they sure didn't look like a smashmouth team.

Off to a Halloween party. Enjoy the weekend all!
Nice day, huh?

What can I say , but Meidty poor game by the Oles.

Olefan, poor officiating? Yes, but not in the Johnnies favor.  Thanks for stopping by the tailgate party, too.

St. Olaf sucked big time.  Do your DBs understand that their job is to stop opponents from catching the ball?  Because it didn't look like they did.  Guess it shows that they really beat no one coming into Collegeville today.

SJU looked pretty good.  Probably close to the best I've seen this year.

Nice cheap shots, too, you classless bunch of a-holes.  Meidt seems to propogate that crap.  Clean it up.  I hope any players reading this thoroughly enjoyed their double monkey stomping.  Looks like Meidt will have to go back to Florida and recruit some more.

OAS, are you okay after that long fall of yours off the Olaf bandwagon?

Meidt will be given back to back lessons on the difference between physical football and cheap football. Cobbs in a Monkey Stomp.

So what is it called if you obtain a monkey stomp in both halves?  How about if you obtain one in one quarter?

And an update for those of you unable to attend.  Bus Driver did pay up on the 30 pack of Hamm's.  Frank Rickard and I started it out by shotgunning one, followed by another with a few elders joining in (all at the prep school).

Yeah it was nice to see Olaf show up for about 5 minutes there in the first quarter and then the SJU D got up to speed and shut the door.  VERY impressed once again by the D, oh yeah the offense did pretty well too  :D   I think they are going to have an extremely long bus ride home today and then next week after the Cobbers wipe them up and down the field like SJU did.  The officiating was terrible all right, how many times did the HB move forward before the snap that wasn't called, interference against Gearman that wasn't called, etc,etc,etc.............   Don't wanna beat that horse too much.  It shows how much work the Oles have to do to be a top tier MIAC team.  They may have only 1 loss and then only 2 after next week but  that is not representative of how they can perform against the best in the league.  I also liked the running up the score at the end, I wished for that last TD to make it a nice even 70!  Great day at Collegeville too!

The Old Coach

How about that O-line for the Johnnies today?  Koefed had all day to throw the ball today.  I think Linneman said that he had time to order a pizza back there.  It's amazing how this sveldt group of lineman are able to play week in and week out against much larger teams.  There is no substitute for quickness and speed.

DuffMan

Olefan, you'd have had about 15 pass interference calls if you would have tackled every guy that got through your sieve.

ST won 35 to 14 over GAC...I think.

What happened to Olafs explosive offense today against the johnnies?
Give me an explosive offense and a good D and I'll take the D anytime

Wow!  What a game by the Johnnies today.....!  I've got one word for SJU, the same word I've been using from the beginning of the season... STACKED!

Even with a resurgent Ole squad the Johnnies 2nd and 3rd stringers were making it look like a varsity vs JV.... what in the heck have the Ole dbs been doing all season?  Were they as impressed with the Johnnie O as the rest of us and decide to take the day off and watch??? Silly simple little moves on swing passes for tds.... how many times did Gearman slip past the Ole dbs for big gaines.... what was going on Ole???

Big game by inexperienced foe in Collegeville always ends the same.... triple quadruple monkey stomp.... just ask most BU squads.....!

Kofoed gets hit once today.. big smack late and an insuent personal foul by Ole....

Didn't see the coaches meet at midfield... was there any opposition barking going on????

Ole db #6 reminds me of myself... lots of bark, beefing and complaining... all day long!

If Lofboom can remember the snap count the J's will do some damage... wait a second, he can't remember the snap count and the J's still win in silly fashion... guess it's destiny!

Thanks again to Johnnie Red and the rest of the gang for throwing one hell of a party, even shared some of Veeks beer with some Ole fans.

Gotta say I feel a bit sorry for the Ole squad, man were they pathetic today.
