+1K for KR.  I know the tailgates would be enjoyed by the current student body (anyone have any ideas for getting more of the rabid current Johnnie fb fans up and at em at 8am  ;D).  Beer, burgers, brats, kool-aid basically for free and the opportunity to connect with many alums you might otherwise not get to know.  Believe it or not, lots of highly successful people drink Hamm's on Saturday mornings at 8am...
Don't hold your breath on any of the student body making it to any of the festivities. They're lucky if they can roll out by game time. One game last fall Fins, Jr. shows up about 12:40 as we're tearing down, then complains to me because we're out of brats.
Many successful people will tell you that drinking Hamm's on Saturday mornings at 8 am is the key to their success.

Willy Wonka

No one should complain about missing the festivites or about cold brats. At the Eau Claire game last fall, I showed up about 45 minutes before kickoff - pre-postponement - with Big Riegs and downed about 6 cold brats/burgers in 10 minutes. They were still amazing.

The gauntlet has been thrown and Willy Wonka is up for the challenge. After destroying Kilted, TDT and crew in fantasy football, I figured it was only a matter of time before they try to take the winnings out of my hide. I should have known they'd ask the resident goon to take their back. Duffy, you better start praying for mercy tonight.

For the record, I'm planning on going through 2-a-days with my local teams next season so there's a good chance I'll be in prime condition - or in need of a rescheduling due to an injury. Either way, I plan to try to eat JR out of his bankroll next season so you might as well double the meat orders right now.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Nothing says Valentine's day like having your car stolen..... :'(

If anyone sees a Green 1997 Chevy Cavalier with a dent in the driver's side door with Ohio License plate BK 85 ND rolling around, please call me so I can kick someone's ass and get my damn car back!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Did you check the parking lot of the bar you were at last night?

Kilted Rat

I wish...

Apparently the green beast has not been stolen, merely impounded.

I guess in Des Moines you can't park on a side street that no one drives on for more than 24 hours.

Update in a few hours how much it cost me to get my car moved somewhere I didn't want it moved to.

Which brings me to my next point... don't steal, the Government hates the competition!

Might I suggest that you call a meeting of the Subcommittee for say this Saturday around 1:00 at the La and we could discuss the situation at hand.

fins-  I could be persuaded into meeting at the La.  Also, on Saturday starting at 1pm is the Wild Game Feed at MC's Dugout.  Hors d'ouvres start at 1pm with the feed at 4pm I believe, which is followed by a surprise party deal at another establishment, capped off with the Cody Foundation event at the Carpet...I think I could squeeze in the La beforehand.

Fortunately, I only had to pay for one day of impound. Here are the fee breakdowns:

Towing:                                          $45.00
1 day storage at the Tow garage: $9.00
DMPD impound/paperwork fee:      $20.00
DMPD Parking Ticket:                      $15.00

Grand total of my donations to the city of Des Moines and Owens Crist towing: $89.00

Meanwhile, the individual(s) who committed 62 robberies in the Des Moines metro area during January run free.

Great use of your Police Force Des Moines.

I really have been trying to stay away from anything political on this board.  I cannot resist the temptation any longer.

8. Not enough Jim Beam

I merely posted a picture taken of her and proclaimed it the face of the democratic party. The fishy face being made is her mocking herself.

PETA wants Cheney to put down the gun in favor of a Tennis Racket

Peta apparently has no idea how hard it is to kill a Quail with a Tennis Racket.... a bat maybe, but quail?? Especially on his barely surviving heart!

It's been a long time since I have checked out things on the board.  Nice write up about the 105 things to remember about 2005.  Lots of exciting games this year.  Looking forward to Sept. 2006 already.

I smile every morning when I take a peak at TDT's karma level and see it 20 below where it was the previous morning :)

Where I work, a student got his car booted and went in to the Business Office to complain about the parking ticket charges on his account. One mention from him of coming back with a gun and six of Eugene's finest showed up. After scuffle, some pepper spray and handcuffs, he was escorted away. Hey, at least you didn't get pepper sprayed! ;D
