Greeting MIAC - it's been a while since I posted. I thought about going back 5-10 pages to catch up but it's mostly testosterone and Hamm's...not that it's a bad thing.

Sounds like the new MAC guy has had some success - my wife's cousin plays for the Scots and said it is nice to have some enthusiasm on campus and he is excited about being around for any sign of resuscitation.

I remember the Ramler name and it sounds like the Johnnies on the board give him their full endorsement. Hopefully the youth and enthusiasm will pump life into both these programs.

Here's to the USA women's curling team for being easy on the eyes.

CCKnight--why don't the knights come onto the field to GnR's "Night Train"? It's an awesome song and could be a sweet recruiting tool. Just an idea to present to the new coach I guess. If my life could have a soundtrack I'd want it to be Appetite for Destruction

Duffman--I'll let you know if I come across any more crazy johnnie dancers. I'm guessing it wont be too hard to find.

Mongo, that reminds me of the 2000 season when we played at Stout. They placed big speakers in the endzones for warm-ups and rocked out to Limp Bizkit. It was all a little much for us. GnR would have been much better.

2 days till Bock Fest. Could this week go any slower?

Hey fellas, TDT is here.

Can someone find me a pic of this US Women's Curling Team? I am strangely intrigued...

Also, since the Johnnies lost on Tuesday night in hoops, the next scheduled TDT appearance will be UWEC. Lots of wrasslin' and a shotgun contest between Duffman and the Janesvilleflash. I will bring some Turbo Dog up for the festivities too. I am sure Johnnie Red will sanction this brew as it is simply delicious.

DuffMan: In case you care - the original Night Train was by Jimmy Forrest (tenor sax) and was a takeoff on Duke Ellinton's Happy Go Lucky Local. Forrest's version was covered by Buddy Morrow (trombone). It was this latter version which caused Tom Fears (Pro Football HOF) to give Dick Lane (Pro Football HOF) his nickname when they were with the L.A. Rams about 1952.

Absolutely NO shotgun contest with Duffman, plus I won't make the Eau Claire game, even though it's the one I'd really like to see. One of my sons is getting married that day, and another son on October 28, so I have to plan around those.

TDT mused my sons must not be very smart getting married during football season. In fact, both are pretty smart, but horribly confused or they wouldn't be getting married at any time of the year.

So-- I'll probably have to watch a game against some loser team that won't even be close. Oh well, just drink more. What goes on after the games? A local watering hole perhaps?

Usually a couple token Hamms near the Pace Arrow with finsleft. Then we head to Sal's for a patty melt/cheesy browns and/or the La Playette where I usually dance like its 1999.
