The board has been very quiet.  Must have been a whole lotta beer drinkin' goin' on on Saturday.  What did you call the occasion?

Heading to Collegeville on March 25 for the "National Fly-In" weekend.  Looking forward to it.  Haven't been to MN since I was at Camp Lincoln.

Any of you football players also play lacrosse?

Excellent times at Bock Fest yesterday.  Brats were tasty and the beer was flowing like wine.  LInes for beer got a little rediculous towards around 2pm, but we did hang out with a 7 foot, 350 lb dude originally from Germany who is now living in St. Peter.  He ordered beer 5 at a time and had them gone by the time I drank 2...it was impressive.
Heaven isn't too far away,
Closer to it every day

frankrickard, glad you enjoyed the BockFest. I trust you kept Duffman in line and away from the local frauleins of New Ulm. Did you make it to the Herman the German statute?

Had a good time at St. Thomas yesterday with the MIAC basketball Stiftungsfestivities. Probably met more Carleton students that ever before. They sounded pretty enthusiastic about Kurt Ramler taking over the coaching position.

Next Minnesota small town social event: St. Patrick's Day in Belle Plaine. More info as we get closer.

What is "National Fly-In" weekend?   is there Hamms involved?
I'd post a lot more if I had a real job

There will be if tmerton swings by my house.

Frank, sorry we didn't meet up.  Bock Fest was a blast.  I was in full rock-star form, although I really paid for it that evening and this morning.  What level hangover is it when you can't keep water down the following morning?

Next event on my calendar--Cozumel in 4 weeks.  Can't wait.

It's a secret recruiting weekend.  And since it does take place in Minnesota, from what I've read on this board over the last month I presume Hamms is at least an option.

Any recommendations on where to stay when we make our St. John's visit on NFIW next month?

Fins has an RV that isn't getting much use this weekend :)

I'd recommend either the Motel 8 in St. Joe (320) 363-7711 or somewhere in St. Cloud. You can get to anywhere in St. Cloud/ Waite Park from SJU in 15 min or so.

Enjoy Fly-in weekend, if it's anything like when I flew in (all the way back in 2000), they pick you up in the SJU charter bus at the airport and you get to ride to SJU in style. You should be getting there just in time to see leaves starting to form on the trees and the Bennies come out of hibernation.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Probably a bus they use for trips to Indian gaming casinos on other weekends, eh?  That would be where the Hamms comes in I suppose.

Kilted Rat

I wish they supplied a bus for gambling weekends! We always ended up driving ourselves.

Hamm's is from the land of the sky blue waters, the Indians just happen to have casino's there.

Spent the weekend in lovely Hastings Mn. A funny thing happened on the way. As I crossed the line leaving Wisconsin and entering Minnesota, I could feel the average IQ of both states rise.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

What? You fly in, they bus you up to C'ville, then you're on your own to find a place to stay? Surely my alma mater is a better host than that?
(See, KR? They need the Sag Hotel!)
If you need any help with accomodations, email me privately. I'm in St. Cloud and would be glad to help you with any local connections.
