Sometimes I really hate living in Minnesota.

Friday - 56 degrees and Duffman was catching fish on the open water
Monday - 30 degrees, a big winter storm, and Duffman is pouting inside

A tradition unrivaled...

Ahh, but Duffman is wrong-  Friday-sunny and 56, Admit was pouting in school.  Monday morning, big winter storm and Admit is sleeping in...
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

Some of us don't get the luxury of snow days and three months off in the summer :P  Oh well, you can have your snow day--it goes with the teacher salary :D

Touchdown Tommy

Good morning my little puppy dogs.  TDT checking in.  Still in MN on this short little trip, but this winter storm is all it takes/took to send me packing for So Fla.  Suckee suck Duffman.  Let me know how your shoveling goes...

FYI: I am outta town tomorrow morn and head straight to the Twins game from the airport.  Rumor has it my seats are on camera a lot (when the games are on TV up here).  Will let MIAC PP know what 85 and sunny feels like.

Last night was good for everyone.  Very nice tribute to Kirby and many well thought out "eulogies" from the speakers.  It was a celebration of his life which is exactly the way it should have been.  I didn't make it to Ike's either.  Did anyone go?
Chasing MILFs since '82...

We sure as heck expect to see some snow in two weeks.  Heck, if it can snow here and cause a 28 car smashup it can sure snow in MN a while longer.

DuffMan

Yeah, snow is cool when you see it for 2 days and then go back to California or Florida, but a winter of it sucks.

Johnnie Red

BlueDevil Bob, that is classic!

So I'm in court this morning for traffic arraignments. A young man has a speeding ticket, 65 in a 55. First ticket in his life. We start talking and I find out he is a senior at a local high school. I ask him what his plans are once he graduates. He tells me he is looking at the U of Minnesota, Loras and ST. JOHN'S. Needless to say, I ask the judge to excuse me for a few minutes once we resolve his ticket and I give him the tour of the Johnnie shrine, i.e. my office. He tells me it is really down to St. John's and Loras. His mother is a Loras grad. Turns out he wants to go out for track in college (1:55 800m to his credit). I tell him that his coach at SJU would be a former teammate of mine when I was running for the Johnnies. His dad piped in and talked about the "Johnnie connections" in Minnesota and how strong the Johnnie network is. I couldn't have said it any better. Hope he ends up in Collegeville next fall.

DuffMan

I hope to get a ticket in Carver county sometime so I can see the shrine.

JR- So I guess it goes without saying that the local track star's ticket was continued for dismissal if no same or similar until the lad shows up at SJU freshman orientation.  ;)

tmerton- I looked at that link and saw the pileup but not the snow. Must've melted before the cameras got there. Just a trace of snow at Collegeville but TC and south got dumped on.

Frank- Still waiting for the review of your Friday night Cold Spring culture tour.

Wooderson-I'm going on Thursday, hopefully riding with Duffman's former assistant principal. I'll put a Hamm's in my pocket for you.

I just got back from a weekend of snowmobiling. Was within miles of O Canada at one point. Saw 2 deer and 5 bald eagles. Beautiful country. Fins III and I covered about 230 miles in 2 days. Had the excitment of losing a trailer wheel on the way home. After going many, many miles through boondocksville, it happened around 2:30 yesterday afternoon in front of a gas station which was right next to a marine/snowmobile dealer which happened to be open on Sunday until 3:00. Is that karma, or what? Unhooked the whole works and left it there for them to fix the trailer AND the ski on one sled which I twisted when it caught on the back of the trailer when I was loading it up Saturday night. I just love one-stop shopping. Looks like I'll spend Saturday driving back up to Macgregor instead of beautiful Belle Plaine.

If you're riding with him, you're probably riding with me...see you then.  Maybe we should fire up the Pace Arrow?

I'm not quite ready for the Pace Arrow season yet, unfortunately. Still dealing with fixing my winter toys. It'll take jumper cables, a shovel, and a half a cup of gas or so down the carborator (even the PA likes a shot now and then) and the tarp has to come off. If you want, I'll give you the keys and you can have at it.                Didn't think so.
I know I make it look so easy when I rumble into C'ville in the fall, but, like an old whore, that PA beauty doesn't just come naturally.

Good idea.  I wouldn't want to jeopardize the health of the big rig for the fall.

TDT - I'm here but have been busy for a few days.  Just finished reading eight pages to catch up on things.

Fins - your old whore joke cracked me up.  +1 karma for that one.
Go Johnnies!!!
