Are there any Bennies sunning at the beach?  Get a webcam down there.  That would draw his attention.

ummm... let's just let the school and the football program speak for themselves... no need for any Bennie webcam... insert comment about SJU lacking a wide angle webcam lens here

I was thinking more along the lines of a panoramic lens...
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

Ohhh the bennies.....the butt of jokes even by the men who attended SJU. Gotta love it.

Tmerton, tell #2 son that it will be in the 70's here in MN today.  A guy could get used to this ;D

What might scare him off is all this stuff about lutefisk, eelpout, etc.  He's not very adventurous with respect to new foods, so they better not serve that stuff at Sexton or in the refectory.   :D

Sounds like Adam Hanna did quite well at the Frozen Four Skills Competition over the weekend.

From USCHO.com

Division III Represents Well
The West men boasted a pair of Division III players in Hanna and James Shipley, from the local Milwaukee School of Engineering. Both showed that they were capable of performing with the Division I seniors.

Shipley won the Hardest Shot competition, blasting a puck 91 miles per hour to edge out the East's Kyle Wilson by a mere mile per hour.

And Hanna stole the show in the Rapid Shot competition, in which three members of the East team each got to fire eight shots from the slot. He saved 22 of the 24 shots that he saw, besting West teammate David Caruso by one save.

"I just felt like part of the group," Hanna said. "There were a lot of pipes out there too. I'll give them an MVP award."

"They did a great job," Kaleniecki said. "Both of them showed that they are great players whether they are Division III or not."

Nah, lutefisk and eelpout are way to complex to make for hundreds.

Culinary delights at Sexton include:
subs, pizza, burgers, fries, and smoothies.

Reefer:

salad bar (only used by bennies the 2 weeks before spring break... the same individuals are seen in the fitness center during the same time period apparently thinking you can undo 50 weeks of gluttony and loafing with one half-assed week of walking 2.3 MPH on the treadmill for 5 minutes and 6 trips to the salad bar each time emptying the bacon bits tub)
sorry for that tangent

Other fine foods at the reefer include: choice of 2-3 hot meal options each night with occassional Rootbeer Floats.
Also the option to finish off the meal with the HATED Ice Cream machine, long loved by many of the Bennies.

True story:
I almost lost a roommate at the ice cream machine... and by lost I mean he almost left this world.

It was early spring my senior year. The ice was out on all the lakes and the birds were coming back. The good looking in-shape Bennie was out running at SJU wearing skimpy attire drawing stares from all the upper classmen Johnnies who were sitting in lawn chairs in front of their apartments drinking beer.

One of the 6 of us had a meal plan (the rest of us went with the much cheaper Cashwise plan) and he offered to treat us all to dinner at the Reef.

After a nutritious and delicious 2000 calorie meal, we were getting ready to leave and had started heading over to the tray return conveyor belt.

Nate was the last of the six of us to return his tray.

Out of nowhere these 2 large Bennies (if they would have been 3 inches taller each they woulda been square) come running as fast as they can at the ice cream machine in some sort of apparent race for the glory.

Nate set his tray down unaware as the other 5 of us stared in awe at the masses moving towards us. As Nate turned around he almost stepped directly into the path of the Omega female when I grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back. He took a glancing blow hard enough to spin him 180 degrees.

He said his life flashed before his eyes at that moment.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

I see Hanna's year of birth is 81 - did he play junior hockey before college?

I have to get to work.  My sides hurt.  (That does seem to describe the culinary delights we saw pretty well, though - minus the Bennies).

Most Bennies cannot be described as 'culinary delights'.

My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

Those of us who are dating/married to Bennies generally crack these jokes whilst looking over our shoulders.  They may not be as big as most of their peers, but as the runts of the litter, they were battle hardened during the daily Bennie feeding frenzy.  (Thankfully they were crowded out of the ice cream machine line!)

Good stuff. As we used to say, "I'd give you a penny for a Bennie, but what would I do with the change?"

KR- After 4 years, you'd think Nate would've known that the most dangerous place to be in the world was between a Bennie and the ice cream machine. It's what's known in the legal profession as "assumption of risk".

Things are moving a little slow for me today. In honor of Phil Mickelson, I'm doing everything left handed.

Fins,
Nate knew to stay out of their way, he just hadn't been to the reef in a while and was unfamiliar with the migratory routes of the herd.

If fins Jr is bored some day, have him make up a couple of official looking "Out Of Order" signs and tape them on the ice cream machine then sit as close as possible and watch the disappointed Bennies walk away without their beloved extra 300 calorie snack.

In honor of Phil Mickelson, I am imagining what my life would be like if I had breasts. I would probably never have left my college dorm except for beer runs.

You could always have bought a Meechigan hat and pretended you were Lloyd Carr.
