This Wildcat fan sends congratulations to John Gagliardi for his well deserved selection into the College Football Hall of Fame today.  How much better can it be to enter the Hall with the greatest wide receiver of all time Jerry Rice?  Click below for the Yahoo News article.

Will this be the year for the next Johnnies, Wildcat matchup?

Fins,

Are you ready to enter the re-development business?  It appears your services are needed.

Did it really even go away?  for the professional beer drinkers, I think not.
I'd post a lot more if I had a real job

The latest email from my alma mater below. How can you not love a place that begins its celebration with a blessing of the 1st keg/mug of beer?

Monks arrived in St. Cloud on May 20, 1856

150 years later:  Please come and bring the whole family!

Well, yes. Ernie died in November, 2004. I mourned his passing then in appropriate fashion. Now that you've brought it up, I feel compelled once again to toast his memory.

Sad news for the Stiftungsfestivities this fall: no novelty wrestling exhibition with Buck "Rock `n Roll" Zumhofe on September 9. Did not get the approval from the powers that be in Collegeville. That is fine. Life and the Stiftungsfestivities still goes on. I will see if Buck would still like to make an appearance and mingle with the fans.

And now for this week's segment of Law and Order, I Work in Chaska, So Get Bent!

Best Man in title only...
Police responded to a wedding reception at the Oak Ridge Conference Center for an unruly male. Upon arrival, officers observed numerous people outside the center, including the bride and groom. According to all parties, the best man had too much to drink, and began to re-hash issues with an ex-girlfriend, who was also present at the wedding. He had been yelling and swearing. Employees and the bride did not want him at the reception any more. He could not understand why he needed to leave. Officers learned he had an active warrant for failing to appear in court on a minor consumption charge. He was arrested and transported to jail. At least the reception was memorable.

Two women were arguing over a cat on Jason Road. One cat lover pulled the other's hair and punched her numerous times with a closed fist. The offender was charged with 5th degree assault.

Hey, JR, I thought all Minnesotans were laid back, peaceable, and not prone to making public jackasses of themselves. Have things changed in recent years? Kindly advise (my in-laws live up there).

"From the land of sky blue waters (waters),
From the land of pines, lofty balsams,
Comes the beer refreshing,
Hamm's, the beer refreshing."

That's right up in my MN memory banks along with the UM fight song - the words of which I still remember based on one summer up at Camp Lincoln in 19... , well, let's just say before many of you were born.

Some of you younger Hamms drinkers may not know that at one time, Hamms was the only beer in Vietnam in an aluminum can. All the others were in steel cans, and would rust on the boat ride over.

So, I guess you would call it a cat fight? ;D
