The latest email from my alma mater below. How can you not love a place that begins its celebration with a blessing of the 1st keg/mug of beer?

Who's the guy in the court jester outfit?  A pic like that needs a caption.

I wanna know what position Gags is going to play in the flag football game.  ("John, you go long ... ")

Some of you younger Hamms drinkers may not know that at one time, Hamms was the only beer in Vietnam in an aluminum can. All the others were in steel cans, and would rust on the boat ride over.

As I remember at that time they also did not sell Coors outside of a six state area around Colorado, where it had to be delivered on a refrigerated basis.  (Which produced an interesting New Yorker cartoon at the time, but I digress.)

All I can say is, "it's about time."

Love Gags' quote at the end.

It is about time. Only the rule change made it possible.

I believe it's that active coaches are now eligible if they are 75 or older.

Oh, that rule change.  Yeah, might as well let Gags enjoy the award now, though as you note he's waiting for the greater glory that will surely be his.

Thankfully, this isn't a Johnnie tailgate either, though I suspect there are some similarities.  This occurred under a failed regime at another place they play football.  [And no, I'm not in it, either - praise the Lord I can say that.]

Who's going to get fins' tailgates on YouTube?

Seems like kind of a small gathering and I saw no Hamm's, but a jug of booze and David Alan Coe would fit right in at SJU. I can guarantee that we will have NO dancing to the BeeGees, however.
The guy at the end looked a little like TDT.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Looks like Johnnie fans in southern minnesota will get a chance to listen to games this year as a station in Waseca signed on to broadcast games as well.

Now if we could just get coverage up here in Cobber country we would be in great shape!
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

Since the wrassling extravaganza is a no go I suggest we hold a poetry reading contest.  Rock and Roll Buck Zumhoff can start us off by reciting some Poe.  Fins can finish up with some choice limericks.

I know a monk that quite adept at writing limericks.  Perhaps we can have him as a guest?
