Don't be jealous, Maniac.  At least you're not an Augsburg Tech alum.  Their men and women finished 11th :o

Oh, but just think how good they could've been, had Marcus found the library!

I've got some memorabilia from the Pink Taco in Vegas ;D

Penicillin should take care of that.  :D

Just had a Taco Tuesday lunch with Fins, Jr. to sustain him for the grueling 2-10 shift at the SJU info desk. He reports that the Seidenbush Apartments, my SJU home for 3 of 4 years, will be torched, possibly today. They say many rodents will be homeless. Back in the day, when they overlooked the Watab, they were the choice place to live. Oh, if walls could talk...

DuffMan

Yeah, grueling and info desk don't generally go together.  Wooderson and I both put in a lot of time there.

I expect you and Mr. Wooderson to give Fins, Jr. some pointers on the art of bread selling and maybe play some Extension Trivia.

Not that it will ever happen (then again, knowing the NCAA...), but can you imagine how frustrating an agent looking for impropriety among MIAC schools would find these boards?

SJU offers under-the-table eel pout to recruits? GAC players accept Stiftungtingfest food from rich, influencial Johnnie alums? All schools are offered special Kool Aid at select sites throughout the year in a traveling debacle?

What would Myles Brand's henchman on the straight-and-narrow think of the goings-on in the Pace Arrow? Then again, if no one remembers it the next day, they can't fail the lie detector test, right? :)
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Good place for drinks.  Plus, it's right across from a hookah bar.

As George Costanza would say, it's not a lie if you believe it.
I'd post a lot more if I had a real job

SUMMIT!!!!!

No jealousy, Duff....just wishing UST hired coaches that would give it a better balance between the championship winning sports & those coming short...no shame in 2nd or 3ven 3rd, but bottom half? THERE is shame

I am jealous of ROR....not everyone gets quoted in Lor S's Op-Ed column as a source of wisdom & news.... how'd you swing that ROR? (do we want to know?) ;)
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

I'd probably still spend my summers working there, but they made us get rid of the PS2...

So it's Tuesday night and I'm pretty intoxicated...for all the Johnnies out there, anyone heading to the kick off of Old Johnnie Ale on Saturday?  I believe I will be there (if Gluek gets off their asses and gets the beer out on time)
Heaven isn't too far away,
Closer to it every day

Johnnie Red

frankrickard, I am giving it some thought. Collegeville during the day, Belle Plaine at night for German Day. Could be a good combination.

Anyone interested in some Stiftungsfest burgers, join us this Friday night at the Chaska baseball park when the Chaska Hawks host the Mayer Lutheran Crusaders in high school baseball. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Burgers will be on the grill by 6:30 p.m.

I hadn't planned on going, but we'll see what happens.  I'll be in town for the old man's birthday, so maybe we'll head over if nothing else is in the works.

Willy: The NCAA would consider the word "arrow" on pace-arrow to be offensive and would ban the RV from hosting any gatherings, unless it changed its name.

I return from my second weekend in Paris on a conjugal visit and I find the following:

1.) Most importantly, that a friend to all Johnnies has passed away.  We'll miss you Rich.  Raiderguy, your post was wonderful.

2.)  In September, St. Mary's will be announcing that they will be playing football and it makes the Minneapolis papers.  I really don't see how SMUMN can't add football right now-- I think they are struggling for male enrollment and without football, they will continue to do so.

3.)  I have a kidney stone. Ouch.

4.)  Still three more months before football season.  {Sigh}
