I'll bet you nail those 400 KR. Good luck and a Catholic boys prayer for your success!

It will probably be the best Hamm's you've ever tasted tonight.

2 years of med school, an entire semester of reviewing for this damn test and it all comes down to 400 questions starting today at 11:30 AM Central Standard Time.

Good luck today KR! After work I too will hoist one in your honor!

I have the privilege today to award my firm's scholarship to a young lady at the local high school.  As I was reading her accomplishments so I can talk about her, I noticed two great things:  1) she is number one in her class, and 2) she is headed to CSB.  Always good to reward smart people!!!

PS. UWRF are the Falcons. They run the bone exclusively.

Maybe pass 5 times a game. They keep doing different things off the bone until something works and then they run that over and over.

That's assuming they find something that works.

Kilted Rat

Long time 18 hour smiter and applauder, 2nd time poster here.

+1 supersecret 18-hour k+ for all on the last two pages.... including Pat.

Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Funny stuff KR, right back at ya (secretly).

Everytime I watch UWRF their wideouts are the most bored people you have ever seen on a football field.

Actually two of them are of the NA variety.    :-[

Many of the 'college budget beers' Garnet consummed as an undergrad are not on the list.  Where is Piel's Draft, Meister Brau, Gennesee Cream Ale???  This could go on and on and on.

Best of luck to you, Kiltedrat!!   I know you will do great!! And, Thank God, your self imposed hiatus from posting is over!!   You were missed!!! :-* :-* :-*

Bottom line is this: This board has the biggest karma crybabies on the site. You guys can dish it out but you sure as heck can't take it. If I wanted to smite someone five times, sure, I could do it. There are a couple moderator accounts at my disposal. But for some reason, you guys seem to think that a few smites at once is somehow different than clockwork smiting someone every 18 hours.

There isn't anyone on the site whom I have applauded or smited even once every 72 hours, on average, let alone once every 18, I'm sure. So just because I don't applaud or smite someone like clockwork doesn't mean I'm not going to reserve my right, say, to smite or applaud someone for every deserving post that they make.

Otherwise, if you like, I'll just set an alarm to come back and smite people, the way that some of you people do. You know who you are.

Pat, This has been bugging me for a while, so here's my rant.  You need to figure out whether you want to be a moderator or a participant.  I assume you want to be the moderator.  To me, that means you control access to the board - you set the rules, let people on the board, kick them off, and tell them to straighten up inbetween.  Applause and smites are 'fun things' for participants, some of whom enjoy/use them more than others (I've used the smite function exactly twice).  It is a kinda silly feature, but the sensitivity to smiting (crybabies as you say) isn't all bad and does probably help us, the rabble, keep each other in line to some extent.  However, at least from my perspective, the moderator ought not be inolved.  For one thing, it's a pretty lame way for the moderator to control the board; i.e., it's anonymous and, as such, doesn't work.  Plus a lot of folks figure you abuse it and deliver multiple smites whenever you get your undies in a bundle.  So while you didn't ask for a suggestion and almost certainly don't want one, I'd suggest you get out of the karma business altogether - don't applaud, don't smite, and dump your own karma rating.  You're a good moderator; be the moderator.   If you like something, say so; if you don't, say so - but leave it at that.

I now await my smites.

1 Rat and all that stands between him and summer is 400 questions submitted by med school profs from all over the country.

One way or another, I'll be drinking a lot of Hamm's tonight, the grocery store by me just started stocking it yesterday!!! If that isn't a sign from God I don't know what is!

I would just like to ask the Catholics of this board to say a prayer for me, and if the Lutherans could think of me, that would be nice too  ;D

I also just learned that my first 2 week rotation will be September 4th-15th in St. Paul, making it very likely that I will be at the Stiffyfest season opener against the Blugolds as well as the next week against whatever the hell UWRF calls themselves and probably even the following week at Auggie Tech State.

KR, good luck on your boards today.  I'm sure you'll ace them.

Re. the Stifftyfest, won't they have you working 23 hours per day.  (I've watched way too much ER.)

I'm playing hokey today so maybe I'll pop a cold one at about 11:30 in your honor.

ps.  If you do make it on 9/2, will you be able to write prescriptions?  I'm not asking for me.  It's for a friend.   ;D

Duffman, no, it cannot be shorted to `festivities :o. Remember, it goes back to the Stiftungsfest celebration that was started in 1861 in Young America. I don't know if they started the burgers that year. I do know they were serving beer that year.

We have to keep calling it Stiftungsfestivities in honor of the tradition and burgers. Keep in the mind that the "festivities" portion was at the suggestion of a Bethel student/grad. If we just went with festivities, there would be too much recognition of the contribution via Bethel. As you know, I could never, ever tolerate that. >:(

Time to get out of the office and head up to Kego Lake in beautiful Longville. Everyone have a great weekend.
