Keep in the mind that the "festivities" portion was at the suggestion of a Bethel student/grad. If we just went with festivities, there would be too much recognition of the contribution via Bethel. As you know, I could never, ever tolerate that. >:(

Eww, Bethel.  Maybe we should drop the "festivities" part all together.

Good luck, KR!!!  I'll have a Gluek Ice for you tonight!

Duff, I am glad you didn't offer up the Blatz Light.  :D

KR ought to taking his seat for the big test about now...

Hey BDB, I remember drinking a beer called Wisconsin Premium! Way back when it was about 3 cases for $12.00! Do they still make that?

Good Luck KR- Being a Lutheran, my heathen prayer is likely worthless  ;D    But I'll make sure to polish off all the Hamms in my fridge your honor!
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

If this has been posted already I apologize (perhaps by a Gustavusite) - I haven't been to the board in awhile.

But I was just perusing a list of winners in the Minnesota AP newspaper contest, checking
up on some people I used to work with, and noticed that Willy Wonka himself won a first-place prize for feature writing in his paper's category. Congrats.

Willy Wonka

In looking over the new Stiffy page I couldn't help but notice one thing: OAS worked AB's name into the same sentence as "hardwood" in my profile.

Now, we all know he isn't that clever, so was this a funny mistake on his part ala Jay Leno's funny headlines? Regardless of the intention, and in honor of Cheryl Crow, it's now my favorite mistake.

I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

sfury - Every dog has his day and every day flips around. At least if I ever get canned, I can always claim to be an award-winning journalist now, right? :)

sumander, I just checked with our liquor store manager who is on the Tavern League Board of Directors and she doesn't think it's available anymore.

Wisconsin Premium sounds like Milwaukee's Best, a couple beer oxy-morons.   :D

Whoa Nelly

Is Lost Lake (the Lo-La) still sold?  Cheap for college kids but it might have been one of the few beers that required a chaser...

KR,

This Catholic and his pagan Methodist wife also wish you luck. You are sailing through those questions even as I'm typing this.

We, too, will hoist one in your honor tonight.
