tmerton: Did you get the chance to meet our good friend Austin Murphy this week?

PS-I know all too well how the guru can drop you 10-15 K at one time.  It's his way of asserting "power" over us.  What a joke!

Unfortunately, Austin was a no show.  I had my copy of Sweet Season ready for signature but he wasn't among the SI writers who showed up.  He was probably out mountain biking.

We're going to have a "Parka Party" for #2 son later this summer as a sort of send-off.  I'll try to figure out how to contact Murph and invite him over.

Again, seriously, I would never waste smite time on you. You aren't worth it.

We really need the football season to start!

Willy Wonka

Mongo got his name in the Gustavus Quarterly!!

Sadly, his picture with the strippers...I mean cheerleaders...didn't make the final cut.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

And thus the legend grows.  You're quite the guy, King.

Oh, ouch again.

Tmerton: Way to soothe the ego of the King.  Again MODERATOR, not participant and the MIAC board (and various others) would run smooth as silk.  I am in the -500s and it doesn't bother me a bit.  If the leader in negative karma (due to incredible marketing by Duffman and KR including getting our buddies in the LL in on the act) doesn't give 2 sh!ts and a F@#$ about his K level why should the King.  It is a silly game to keep us "in line", nothing more and nothing less.

Guru: This isn't rocket science.  You do the math regarding dropping 10-15 karma in a matter of minutes and cross check with who is logged in and SORRY but it doesn't compute out.  IMPOSSIBLE!  Will await the spin on this one...

A boy gets an H&O train for Christmas and he loves it.  He saves his money and starts adding track and train cars.  He builds a little town, then adds more track and then another town - and more track, another train and still more towns.  Soon the house is full of track and trains and towns.  He runs the trains from town to town, picking up logs here, taking them to the mill, dropping off a refrigerator car here and a grain car there.  He's running the trains and providing the towns with everything they need.  Some of the townsepoeple, though, don't seem to be grateful.  In fact, he's convinced they're acting up and not respecting him - there's civil disorder!  When one of his trains stops running, he's convinced the ungrateful ones did it.  So he starts punishing the ones responsible - this plastic guy loses a leg, this guy an arm, another guy gets dumped in the jelly.  And all of a sudden it's reality for him.

Your personal observance doesn't match the facts, then, I guess. Perhaps you miscounted by ten?

Apparently it is reality for you too.  Maybe you should move to another town.  Or charter your own town.
In other words start your own chat board or go to another D3 site.
I mean it is obvious you were either deprived of a train set as a boy or your older brother made you the caboose. ;)

Thanks for stopping by.   :-*

Oh, yeah - ouch x 5

Do you, perchance, mean HO scale (wherein 1/8 inch = one foot)?*  ;)

-------------------------------

* HO is one-half  of O scale (1/4 inch = one foot) ... in case you're wondering.

You guys who took the weekend off made a wise decision.

johnnyadmit

It was a lot of work, and KR and Duff you owe me, but I spent 3 nights this weekend scouting Melvins for you.   Results were very positive: Beer is cold, whiskey burns, Cuervo tastes like s***, music is good, deck is open, and the women are hot and short skirted.

Thank God for that SJU education that tought me the research skills that I have today!  ;D

p.s. if anybody wants in on the rescue Melvins campaign, they are accepting pledges for a share in a proposed buyout.   I can get you some info.

Also, turns out the La sale fell through
