TT, I will be getting OAS a picture of RHB in the near future to post on the Stiftungsfestivities website, along with a photo of the individuals at the inaugural tailgate party in 2001.

Interesting note BDB.  It's been a while since I have caught a carp or eelpout.  Used to snag a carp once in a while on the Mississippi River.  Just a nasty, disgusting fish.  Only caught 1 eelpout in my life and it was on Mille Lacs Lake while I was obviously looking for walleye.

TDT, nothing quite like pulling up an eelpout out of the sky blue waters when a walleye or some other pike is anticipated.  :P

I do have some relatives that like to eat carp. They smoke 'em heavy and do whatever it is else to make them taste like something. Not my cup of meat, however...

Excerpt from Gags' recent letter to #2 son:

You may be wondering how to prepare for college football.  Most teams have a regimented summer program.

You know us well enough to know we would probably be different. Our advice is to have you concentrate thoroughly on enjoying your final high school days. It's a once in a lifetime experience. Do the same during the month of June. You won't hear from us again until July.

Just what my son needs - the laissez faire approach to conditioning  Unfortunately, no one needed to tell him to concentrate on enjoying his final high school days. In fact, he seems to have been doing that for most of the last two years.  :)

Sounds pretty much identical to the letter I got back in the spring of '99.  ;D

There is no good reason to be sober at 10:30 am.

According to a recent article in the Dallas Morning News, there are places in Texas where they do catch and release on carp because they are such good fighters. ::)

TT--

I have your info and Dusty SJU's via email but haven't gotten around to updating.  Others wishing to be profiled need to email me their desire to be members

I'm in MA now enjoying vacation so look for an update on Friday.  I'mnot sure that D3 will be a huge part of my Y gig.  No longer working for "pennies."

Duffman,

Is that an Eelpout?  Let's get some info on this.  Lake, time of day, level of inebriation, etc.

Games Lake, 10:30 am, stone-cold sober at the time.  And no, it's no eelpout.

Games??  You were in God's country and didn't give a shout?
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

Johnnie Red

So I'm heading up to a ditch meeting last night in Hollywood Township next to the radio tower that is the home of B96, the flagship station for Auggie Tech. I know, I lead such an exciting life as county attorney! How could one not get excited about running a meeting to discuss tree removal from the banks of ditches? :P

Anyway, as I'm driving through Mayer and go by the Bootlegger Bar, I see a sign promoting a panty ride this coming weekend. I had to stop and read the sign. Evidently it is a motorcycle ride for the fairer sex. Only in Carver County.  :o TT, you would still be welcome to participate should you be in the area.

Back to the tree removal. The ditch authority did award the contract to a company owned by a former Johnnie national wrestling champion. Life is good.

Two beggars are sitting on the pavement in Ireland. One is holding a large Cross and the other a large Star of David. Both are holding hats to collect contributions. As people walk by, they lift their noses at the guy holding the Star of David but drop money in the other guy's hat. Soon one hat is nearly full whilst the other hat is empty.

A priest watches and then approaches the men. He turns to the guy with the Star of David and says, "Don't you realize that this is a Christian country? You'll never get any contributions in this country holding a Star of David."

The guy holding the Star of David then turns to the guy holding the Cross and says, "Hymie, look who's trying to teach us Marketing."
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

From Shooter today: Bob Sullivan, who coached football at Carleton College for 22 years, has authored a book, "Knights of the Gridiron," a history of Carleton football since 1883. Sullivan, by the way, was an English major at St. John's, as was Carleton's new coach, Kurt Ramler.

I hate to agree with a Royal, but I completely concur. That's like tmerton posting 8 paragraphs of a lacrosse write-up on these boards for our, um, enjoyment and expecting a positive response.

OAS - Hopefully you didn't use all your intellect on my Stiffy profile...sounds like you have some work ahead of you.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.
