piperinsider, have you made it to the Biscay muni yet?

Not yet. Is it worth the five mile trek? I hear that got good burgers. "Why don't you eat up and we'll tell you."

Wasn't the Turkey Gobbler in Johnson's Creek?? Don't they have lots of outlet malls??

janesvilleflash

Oh, yeah, you're right, I was thinking of Johnstown Center. Johnsons Creek isn't that bad.

Just a little info KR,  If you are going to be in Johnsons Creek head north about 15 miles to Watertown.  Good german city (18,000 people and 75 bars) ;)

piperinsider, from what I have heard, it would be worth the five mile trip. I have never been in the Biscay muni in its present location. Spent plenty of time in the old one. In the fall of `78, after I found out I passed the bar, I moved out to a farm about two miles from Biscay to live. Got to commute every day to Chaska. Always loved the rural areas of Minnesota.

Are the Twins hot or what!

Son of BDB and I are playing hookie today to go watch Santana wheel and deal.  8)

I've got a Hamm's over/ under for the board.

I'll wager 2 Hamm's to 1 that Fins during his God's country fishing vacation sneaks into International Falls and finds a PC at a coffee shop or the library to catch up on MLPP.

Any takers?  ;D

Closed Circuit to Fins: My Little League squad crushed 'em Monday night.  :)

I married into the Glencoe, Plato, NYA, Hutch, Biscay area and it is a little slice of heaven out there.  The Biscay Muni has great food and cold beer.  I was in the off-sale a couple weeks ago picking up a case for after-party on my way to the Hutch Event Center for a wedding dance - you would swear the locals had never seen a neck tie before.  What is the name of the hunting lodge a few miles SW of Biscay?  My sister-in-law had her groom's supper out there - not sure if the food was prepared there but the kegs were cold.

I'm excited about the free marital advice on this board...I've made it 13 months so far, and I see us moving as far away from her mother as possible.  It is our life, not her 2nd.

Kubiak,
My mom's family is all from the Watertown area, thats where the grandparents are moving to. Definitely a great town to hang out in. The party is up just west Hustisford on the shores if Lake Sinissippi.

Any good bars to recommend in either location? Papa Rat grew up in Hustisford, but we moved to Ohio from Fond du Lac 19 years ago, so he's out of the loop a bit.

I would like to nominate WhoaNelly for the MIAC PP Quote of the decade. That has just become my new life motto.

Whoa Nelly, you did marry into the right area of the state. When I was with my Glencoe buddies this past weekend, they asked me if there was anyone from McLeod County that I didn't date in my high school/college days. Plenty of babes from Glencoe. The Pla-Mor Ballroom in Glencoe was a great place to meet them.

I have already made arrangements for a place to stay in Dead Wing for the state baseball tournament in August. I can only assume the adult beverages will be courtesy of you. ::)

Great find T merton!

I posted an article on life Safety, we'll see how long it lasts.

Someone apparently didn't like it.  Anyway, other experts need to post on their areas of expertise - e.g., Duff on the football program, Fins on the central role played by Hamm's beer in SJU life (which can be confirmed by reviewing the player profiles of the SJU rugy club members), etc.

Who didn't like it? Its still up.

I also added an article on Sal's bar in St Joe

This is an actual conversation I had with my sister yesterday.

WS: I think I met one of your friends this weekend at the bar. He said he was going golfing with you soon.
WW: Oh yeah? Was his name Mongo?
WS: Umm, I don't know. He had really small eyes and looked kind of psycho though. I walked away from him as soon as I could.
WW: Yup, that's Mongo.

Mongo - Do you ever return phone calls?

I hate the phone, so I return calls in that small window of time when I dont mind putting a piece of plastic up to my ear.

Your sister needs to cool out!  If she's intimidated by a 6 foot 4 inch 250 lb guy having a good time in Patricks, she'll never make it to the WNBA.
I'd post a lot more if I had a real job
