Who decided today was Minnesota's Turn Your Compost Day? It reeks to high heaven here in the Wing! Or is that just the unfortunate byproduct of TDT being back in the state...? Either way, I don't like it...

It did stink to high heaven in Red Wing last night when I was through there.  What's the deal?  I hope you found all your tires slashed and windows shattered

What about the occurrance of this phenomenon at a certain former rat's wedding reception...?      Even Misty was embarassed!

Embarassed my arse, she was loving every minute of it.
As to how it appeared at my wedding, a bunch of Johnnies approached the Tomme DJ (I didn't know until the wedding day) and asked him to play it as the last song. He agreed and the rest is photographic history and my current desktop.

Ok I also have not been back in that part of Wisconsin in about 15 years myself sooooo I called up my relatives that live there still ( all of them German Lutheran alcoholics) and talked to my cousin he said just to go down the 400 block of North 4th st,  100 block of South 3rd st or South 2nd st  right downtown  I guess you couldnt swing a dead cat without hitting a bar down there.  He said that there is a little bit of everything down there and to just wander till you find what you like.  In regards to Husty he named two establishments:  Rock river Bar and Grill and  Karen's Lone Pine.  Sorry that I couldn't be more help. 

Oh I almost forgot hit Zwieg's grill  in Watertown for killer after bar food

Sounds like a plan for Johnson Creek.
Funny story, my dad's graduating class had like 35 people in it, 1 owns the Rocky River and another one is Karen of the Lone Pine fame. Dad and I hit that up following Christmas at his folk's house.

PS. My dad's family are all Lutherans.. he used to be Lutheran, but he got better after he married my mom.

I don't really buy into polls other than the D3football.com one, but USA Today notes SJU as the #4 team and Concordia as the #9 team in the country.

Gotta love preseason polls that roughly reflect how the teams finished last season, subject to the inevitable Eastern team bias...

Child Custody

COURT RULING, Chicago Illinois, May 8, 2006 Chicago, Illinois (AP) - A
seven year old boy was at the center of a Chicago courtroom drama
yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have
custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge
initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with the child
custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained
to the degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him
more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When
the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried
out that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning
that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the
Judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who
should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child
welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Chicago
Cubs, who the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

Don't believe St. John's finished in the final four or the top four last year.

Pretty sure Linfield finished higher than 10 last year.

Delaware Valley was a lot higher than 12.

Hardin-Simmons was not in the final Top 25.

Neither was RPI.

Mount Union and UW-Whitewater are still 1-2, however. But that could also be because of the people they have back.

I guess it depends upon how you define "roughly"...

I was more surprised that SJU was ranked so high given the loss of 11 starters; and Concordia despite losing their QB.
