Veek

TDT - Don't worry.  I have returned.  Just got caught up on more than 20 pages from the MIAC.  I've been on vacations and busy at work and unfortunately haven't had the time to keep up on PP.

As far as the twleve pack prize goes, the only person that brought me back to the boards was myself so you will have to mail it to me in Little Falls.  I did appreciate the effort made by KR and Finsleft to claim the prize and I will gladly split it with them.  Count Ritz in too as he was supposedly going to call me to let me know I better get back on the boards but he must have been sipping on his fifth Central MN Martini, or whatever he calls it with the pickled herring, when he made that statement as I never received a phone call.

KR, that story about "K" all plastered in the dorms made me laugh so hard that I almost **** MY pants!

I'm sitting on my deck overlooking the Mississippi, have two racks of baby back ribs cooking in my smoker, and am on my way to get a tall Sapphire tonic with two limes.  It's turning out to be one hell of a Fourth of July!!

Happy Fourth, everyone!  Football is right around the corner.
Go Johnnies!!!

Touchdown Tommy

Oh wise Veek,

Yes I was a little worried about you in this extended absence from Post Patterns.  You will receive a special FLA beer at my first Stiftungsfestivities appearance in 06 in approximately 60 days...Did anyone see the Japanese phenom Kobayashi scarf down 53.75 hot dogs in 12 mins today on ESPN?  That was redic and reminded me of what Willy Wonka did to The Godfather's burgers last Sept in Eau-Claire.

T-5 days til this soccer Bullsh!t leaves us for another 4 years.  Can't wait!!!

Chasing MILFs since '82...

Johnnie Red

Touchdown Tommy, I hate to admit it, but my Badger son loves the World Cup. Probably goes back to the semester he spent last fall in Prague. Hopefully his return to Camp Randall this fall will help him reconnect with the only sport that really matters - college football.

Got to meet Jeff Johnson, the Republican candidate for Minnesota Attorney General, yesterday at the Chanhassen 4th of July parade. As I was talking to him, I noticed his ring. It was rather distinctive with a "C" on it. I immediately exclaimed, "You're not a Cobber, are you?!!!! :o" He admitted that he was. I told him I would still vote for him.

Speaking of politics, filings for office open today. Keep your fingers crossed that the Godfather keeps his record intact of never having an opponent when he has had to run for re-election. It would suck having to miss all the Stiftungsfestivities prior to November 7 because I would be going door to door asking for votes every Saturday this fall. If everything goes as I hope, there will be a big re-election party at the pavilion on the grounds of the Stiftungsfest in Young America on Friday night, November 10. Everyone on this board will be invited.

JA and Duff,
Due to the nature of the hot sun Saturday and the plentiful beers and mixers consumed on the lake, I opted out of heading into Spicer and instead passed out on a couch at 9 PM while watching the Twins game. When I awoke at about 11, the bar crew had left and Mrs KR said I had enough for the day :-\

I awaited your call, but would have had a tough time making it to Spicer, although I taught the locals at the bar in Brooten a thing or two (we felt the need to crash a class reunion).
What a beautiful weekend at the lake!   Couldn't have asked for much more.  Time to give the ole liver a few days break before another steamy weekend.

On another positive note, somehow, DuffMan avoided all traces of a hangover on his 4-day bender.  He is starting to feel invincible...

BDB

Country music fans will know who Danielle Peck is.

So, either she is a WNBA size gal or Tony Stewart is a short fart.

BDB

Maybe all these Nascar guys are short so they fit in the cars no problem.

BDB

Hey Duff,

Crash a class reunion? Did anybody act like they remembered you?  :D

DuffMan

I pretended to be a guy from the class until we figured out that he was actually there ;D  Then I just got drunk and owned the dance floor.

I am pulling an "0-for" on my class reunions.

Maybe going to someone else's class reunion is the way to go.  :)

Definitely a beautiful day to stand waist deep in the lake.

Here's the part I don't understand: 18 people all standing waist deep in the lake drinking beers/mixers at a very steady rate for 10 hours and not one person went to shore to pee!!  ???

On the height note, I was a bit concerned about this Kim Jong Il bastard from North Korea until I did a google search and discovered that he's only 5'3 Talk about your over-active case of SMS (Short Man Syndrome- see any guy you've ever known under 5'7 trying to push people around to make up for his lack of stature and small pen15). A dude who's ideal body weight is 135 is trying to tell us what to do, he obviously carries more weight than that in just his jowels. Sorry, I have a hard time being afraid of a dude I could have bench-pressed in 7th grade.

So basically, here's what we have in the world right now: Revenge of the 5'3 and under people, here is the evidence presented in a format Fins, JEsq and JR can appreciate:

Exhibit A: Mama KR (5'3 on a good day) guilt tripping KR and MrsKR into going to Wisconsin this weekend for a 2 hour OFC (Old Fart Convention) consisting of my Grandparent's and 40 of their closest incontinent friends.

Exhibit B: Kim Jong Il (5'3) firing of test missles and threatening to attack the US if we fire a pre-emptive strike to wipe out his missles. Anyone else read the reports that his rockets miserably failed? There's a little blue pill for that in America Kim.
Also of note, in this pic of Kim as a young commie, he looks like he has Down Syndrome:

Exhibit C: Shakira (5'2) has a new hit single informing us that her "Hips Don't Lie" I've personally never heard of anyone's hips lying, but at least we know her's won't.

BTW: Tony Stewart is 5'9 and Jeff "homo" Gordon is 5'7... no, I didn't know this, I googled it.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

BDB

KR, Mama KR lives in Wiscy? That's where the Packer lovin' comes in!  ;)

Nice combo of pics. Kim Jong Il followed by Shakira.  :D

I spent most of the weekend on the lake I live on. Got pulled over by the DNR even. Good thing it was like the first time I didn't have a cold Hamm's in my hand.

He was just checking for life jackets etc. Seemed weird since I was barely moving and not fishing. All around my boat were people going hog wild and he picks out BDB and family to pull over.  ???

I've discovered that if I get a little hot, I can just jump off of the pontoon, and when I climb back up, I no longer have to pee.  Crazy!

LOL.  10 of us were boozin' and cruisin' when we happened upon the DNR boat.  We waved as we went past, then they proceded to tear off to check on a friends dad in his little sailboat.  Guess they were concerned about him having a PFD.  The funniest thing is that they almost tipped him over when they roared up to him.

They came on us hot as hell too. Suppose they want to catch you in the act or something.

It actually kind of pissed me off. My 6 year old little girl got scared and was asking Mrs. BDB if we were all going to jail.
