1)Why do drivers' education classes in Stearns County Schools get to use the car only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays?

Because on Tuesday and Thursday the Sex Ed class uses it.

2)What does it mean when the flag at the Post Office is flying at half-mast?

           They're hiring.

3)How do you get a sweet little 80-year-old lady to scream F***!!

Get another sweet little 80-year-old lady to yell BINGO!

(Lawyer joke converted to Bethel Joke)   Two former Johnnies were reminiscing about a day while they were in school when they came upon two Bethel students buried to their necks in sand.  The first Johnnie, inconsolable, says "Ya know, I wish we coulda done something- it was a crying shame!"  The second Johnnie puts his hand on the first Johnnie's shoulder and says, "It's alright man, we did everything we could-we spent 8 hours trying to find more sand"

KR, I noticed yesterday that our precious Green Lake is more of a Yellow/Green Lake than it was several days ago...
Seems from the description that you were hanging out at Lonetree...when were you there?  I spent a few hours out there over the weekend consuming beverages with one of the best lookin gals out there (Next to Mrs. KR, of course!) ;D  But there was no sign of your Packer-lovin a**.

Not really sure the hours, but there were a lot of them, I think we got there about noon and left about 7... not real clear on much later in the day.
Where were you at? We had 2 pontoons tied up closer in to shore... in fact I had to walk at least 40 yards out to find waist deep water when I needed to....um.... relieve myself. If that description doesn't help, we were the boats with about 20 people between the ages of 23 and 30 drinking beer.

Does Green/Yellow Lake look comething like this?

At least the good news is I heard the low water level problem has been solved!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

BDB,
Didn't know you graduated with such a "well-rounded" group! ;D

KR's story reminded me of a little incident down in Texas a couple of years ago, though it involved an attraction I doubt they have on Green[Yellow] Lake ...  (And if you happen to like beer and women, spend some time in Austin if you get the chance - they have lots of both.)

Barge capsizes approaching nude beach
May 3, 2004

AUSTIN, Texas -- A double-decker party barge capsized when dozens of passengers moved to one side of the boat as it approached Texas' only nude beach.

Sixty people on the boat were rescued Sunday from Lake Travis, including two with minor injuries, authorities said.

The accident happened during Splash Day, a semiannual event hosted at the clothing-optional area by the Austin Tavern Guild, a gay and lesbian bar association.

Witnesses said that all of the people aboard the barge moved to one side after it was tied up at Hippie Hollow, the only public nude beach in Texas, creating uneven distribution and making it tilt.

"As the captain was running upstairs to tell them to move away from the railing, it capsized," dumping its passengers into about 39 feet of water, Travis County sheriff's spokesman Roger Wade said.

Wade said it was unclear why the people all were on one side of the boat.  [WTF?  What's unclear about that?  :D]

Krista Umscheid, a spokeswoman for the Lower Colorado River Authority, said everyone aboard was safe.

And there really is a Hippie Hollow

Ka-De-Shack is the home of best law-enforcement story this side of convincing the hot Link Security chick to drink with us on the bus:  We were hanging out after a softball game at the Ka-De-Shack (every one of us not yet 21) when this red-hot blonde deputy comes in.  We were all s***tin our pants when she came over to talk to us.  Long story short, we struck up a conversation with her that lasted about 45 mins, and since she couldn't "leave her number" while on duty, she left her card (which had her home and cell numbers on it)  We managed to get her to show up for the tournament in Brooten on her day off where she drank beer in a bikini top with a bunch of 18 & 19 yr old farm boys.  Still brings a tear to my eye... ;D

Article today in the South Bend paper on the recent increase in MN high school football players finding their way to Notre Dame.  Hope they can attend Gags' installation into the College Football Hall of Fame next month.

Very few DIA players care about DIII football or any of its coaches.

Who has some game video to put up on YouTube?  I could only find one SJU highlight posted (Blake Elliot kickoff return) while Linfield has a bunch!

Important day in history:

On this day in 1535, Sir Thomas More was executed for treason, as a result of his refusal to recognize King Henry VIII as the head of the Church. He was convicted of high treason on July 1, 1535. Five days later, on this day in 1535, he was led to the scaffold on Tower Hill. His executioners asked him if he had any final words, and he took the time to say that he did not blame them for their actions and he looked forward to the day when they could all meet in heaven. With that, he was beheaded. His head was later displayed on the London Bridge, but his daughter retrieved it and it as buried with her.

I recognize that, though I think it's changing a bit.  I also believe that one of the MN players at ND had a brother who played at St. John's.  Plus I would hope that any football player from MN, even at a D-1 school, would know of Gags and be proud of his accomplishments.

Whoa Nelly

No doubt tomorrow's edition of the Northfield paper will have a story about Meidt's pipeline to Florida...
