He is in the top 10 for most time spent on the board. As am I, of course.

http://www.d3sports.com/post/index.php?action=stats
I got a feeling I'll be falling off that list pretty quick once rotations start and I can't sit with this site pulled up on my computer during lecture anymore :(

Also being stuck in Iowa, I listen to most of the games with this page up. I also spend way too much time on here especially during football season :)
I used to be like #8 in posts now I've dropped to 13. At this rate especially if the free internet here keeps being shaky, I may be out of the top 20 by season's start!
When I try the link Pat posted, I get the message "You aren't allowed to view the forum statistics."  Is there some sort of secret handshake?

You have to show up in Collegeville and we'll teach you the secret handshake.  ;D
The most astonishing statistic: Male to female ratio is 15.2:1.
Of course TDT skews that stat a bit.

It would be so sweet to see a MIAC team come up to NY to play a team or two...but not in my lifetime (and I still have a long life to live) seeing as the MIAC is much more competitive than any team out here.

slow day in the LL, and this is what I read in the MIAC? MR is now banned from enjoying anything NY related, inlcuding garbage plates, chicken wings, saranac beer, smog, and since you're in central NY... incest.

p.s. I'll bet D3.com has 4 NY teams in their preseason top 25.

Touchdown Tommy

GRO,

Keep in mind this was a Bethel Univ. Royal posting (repetitive nonsense is not uncommon).  Home of Zero playoff wins in their football program history and a team that the Johnnies OWN annually.  You know the Johnnies have much respect for the LL after the competitive team that RPI brought to Collegeville in '03.
Chasing MILFs since '82...

I heard an interesting rumor from a current UWWhitewater student at the wedding I was at this weekend, supposedly Beaver is in danger of losing his starting spot.

The interesting part is it's not due to his off the field allegations but due to a stud transfer coming in from UW.

The guy who told me this is going to be a senior at UWW and lives with 3 football players, so I would assume this to be a relatively credible source.

Pat, BDB, FB413, anyone know anything on this?

Broken record time...

If Pat Coleman had a nickle for every "this state/region/conference football is better than that state/region/conference football"... he'd own his own D3 only cable channel and look like Rich Eisein with an iced out grill (Gro using his poetic licence here). It goes like this. Yeah the Johnnies pounded RPI in 03 and yeah bethel can't make it out of the 1st round.

That's the truth. Aside from that you can't really compare teams that only play eachother once every... EVER. Coaches and players get used to seeing a team year in and year out.

Pat Coleman

I have also heard they have a stud running back coming from UW-Madison, it's been discussed a couple times on that board this offseason. I have no idea if he is better than Beaver or if he would start ahead of him.

Agreed - comparing conferences at the DIII level is hard to do because there is little to no mixed competition - arguments are based on one team from a conference playing one game.  What SJU has done in the last 15 years is incredible, no matter what division of college football you are talking about.  Their success in the national playoffs is good exposure for the MIAC but not a true representation of the entire league.  From an outsider's perspective I would think a league is stronger if they field different or more than one playoff team each year - such as the last two years with SJU and Concordia or SJU/Bethel a few years back.

My personal opinion is that Horan's success at Concordia is more than a flash in the pan and SJU/Cord will have many fun games in the years to come - what is anyone else's opinion (on football, not Hamm's)?  If those two teams would continue to knock each other around and you have a sleeper or another program emerge every few years to make it a 3 or 4 team race - that is a sign of a stronger league in my eyes.

The rumor that I had heard at one time was that Booker Stanley was supposedly transfering to Whitewater after this incident led to his dismissal from UW Madison.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/football/ncaa/05/04/stanley.photos/index.html

Last I had heard though was that he definately will not be at Whitewater this fall, or any following fall for that matter.

Edit....Booker was also involoved in another incident later the same year

http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=379562

And then earlier this year was jailed again for violating the terms of his bail.

Good to hear the rumors are on all the credible lines as well.

Interesting, good find Chris! Sounds like he could fit in with the WIAC crowd or at SNC [sarcastic, I don't want to start another border war like we had on here in 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001.....]

Chris Buckman's info seems to be what I remember reading on the WIAC board as well. Unless there's s different stud RB now in the mix.

Huh? What? Football, not Hamm's? Might have to start my own Hamm's board if you're going to continue with your unreasonable demands. >:(
OK, since you insist, from this Johnnie's perspective, the games that make me nervous are the games against the WIAC teams, and, the Cobbers. Yes, there's the occasional upset (St. Olaf?!?) but the Cobbers are the ones who seem to have the talent and consistency of late to give me the jitters.
So nervous, in fact, that I am forced to down several pre-game Hamm's just to calm myself. (There, finally got the thread back on track).

I need to correct a little of my info, Booker Stanley was suspended for the fighting incident and was eventually kicked off the team by the new coach following the second incident.

Actually I did not know that, but I do now.  Thanks for continuing my education Fins.  I used to always use Chris5317 but accidentally used Chris56317 one time and I've just been using it for the past several years.

And given that it came from the town of Buckman, I have changed back.  Buckman is a nice town to drive through on the way to golfing in Pierz or fishing Platte or South Long.  But other than that, I want nothing to do with it.

And here I thought there was some great story about a wild night at Sev's Krawiecki Liquor & Food in Buckman way back when, drinking with Veek and Ritz and other Morrison County ne'er-do-wells.

Buckman

Hate to diasappoint, but to my knowledge, no such story exists.  I did work in Little Falls for two years after college but lived in the St. Cloud area, so other than a few stops in LF after work once in awhile, nothing exciting at all.
