I know it's outdated by now, but I'm reading back the last few pages, and there was mention of Mauer's 3-0 count in the bottom of the 9th.   Am I the only one on the planet who thinks that when you've got the best hitter in baseball up, and the next pitch will be a fastball down the chute you GIVE HIM THE G-D GREEN LIGHT????   I was watching the game with some of my fellow coaches, and they all figured red light on 3-0 is automatic...

Bud Light?  Do I even know you?

The weight says I shouldn't drink the Diesel anymore, so I had to step back to BL...     But after the first 8-10, beer is beer, so the miller will do   ;D

Admit, I made the comment on Mauer's 3-0 count in the 9th. I figured he had a green light all the way as well.

I just wished he could have done something more with that situation than ground out to second.

Been married 2 yrs. today!  Nothing like being married to a Royal....

Congrats to you, my condolances to your wife :)

I was also confused about the 3-0 count, but then again I wasn't watching the game, I was watching the damn statracker.

It's OK Adam....you gave up HRs to 5 Twins and you flunked the turn-and-cough test. But at least you avoided getting tackled by Moosie the Kissing Bennie when she came out onto the field

May she tolerate you for many more years to come.

MR, I would imagine Governor Pawlenty would have the same thoughts about his bride. :-*

MOST of the time on 3-0 when the hitter has the green light, they guess a location and pitch to sit on. If the pitch is there they take a rip, if not, they take.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I don't doubt Joey had the green light, but he is too disciplined to chase anything but a perfect pitch on 3-0...that discipline is why he will win multiple batting titles and crck the 400 barrier (unless he decides to forgo continuing his MLB career and take over at QB and PG for UST  ::) )

Fellas it is a good day.  Lohse has been dealt to Twins East (Cincinnati).  In return a minor league player, Zach Ward, 7-0 with a 2.29 ERA in 20 games, including 18 starts, for Class A Dayton of the Midwest League in 114 innings, he has allowed 74 hits with 95 strikeouts and an opponents batting average of .188.

Wonka contrary to popular belief you can't get drunk off O'Doul's.

You are indeed incorrect my friend. O'Douls has 0.4% alcohol content (roughly 1/10th of normal beer), so in theory you could drink enough O'Douls to get drunk, it would roughly take 100 O'Douls.

I am thrilled to see that Lohse is gone though!

URGENT NOTICE!!!!!!!![/color]

The Ranger's starting pitcher tonight is John Rheinecker, not Eaton as previously stated.

The curse picture of Eaton and the quotes thereof will carry over for tomorrow.

For tonight's game, here is the curse picture of Rheinecker:
