I really need to quit posting when I come home from the bars. Sorry if I offended anyone, or everyone.

No apology necessary, Flash.  I've been guilty of the same thing; I also find your stuff pretty funny most of the time.  +k

Any MIAC schools considering streaming video for their games?  A guy connected with d3casts just posted this link on one of the d3 general discussion threads: http://www.d3cast.com/procast.php.  The video looks a little jerky but not too bad.

With the new poll out what does the MIAC think of Concordia dropping in the preseason poll from last year.  Is that an accurate place for them.  What did they lose to graduation?  Do they have alot of holes to fill?

Concordia lost their MIAC MVP QB, who guided their team to two straight playoff runs.  His backups were all-state in high school, so the Cobbs are reloading.  The issue is, given their unique offensive playbook, can the new QB step in and guide the offense?  My guess is to expect the Corncobbers to battle the Johnnies for the MIAC elite once again.

I don't put a lot of stock into preseason polls, as even the D3football.com one, though better than the other "national" polls, doesn't take into account preseason injuries (as camp hasn't even started yet!) , so I can't weigh into Cord "falling" in the preseason polls.  Considering their first three weeks consist of Moorhead State (D2, but barely), at Bethel, then SJU at home, we will see what kind of game the Cobbs have left after that stretch.  Even 2 out of 3 in those weeks will make the Cobbs look pretty tough.

Fun fact: the Cobbers have scheduled St. Olaf as their homecoming opponent...

Hamline did some webcasting last season.  I'm not sure if they'll bring it back this year.  Don't expect it from SJU though...

Whoa. Augsburg has something going on with their stadium this summer.  They pulled down that eagle's nest of a press box, but don't appear to be putting up any permanent stands on their field.  Take a look at some of the pictures here

Fins, No call from you to act as a Bail Bondsman this weekend. Things must have gone well at the FEST!

Traffic is noticeably lighter this morning in our little burg! ;D
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

Keep'em coming, Flash. I got a good laugh over that one.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Save your time.  I'll give you the quick-n-dirty version:

Phil Porta this, Phil Porta that.  Bethel sucks and will continue to suck in 2006.

I meant the Catholic jokes, not the BU jokes. Those are too easy :)

Royal. did you see Bethel vs CC last year.  Schumacher 16 of 19 for 148 passing..7 to Rodel,  22 rushes for 110.  With Schumacher gone..I'm thinking the Royals have a good shot against the Cobs...especially early in the season with CC's new QB and 7 or 8 new guys on D..

DutchFan2004

Mighty Royal,

I agree with you about special teams.  I would even say that special teams won the game for Central last year as well.  With that 76 yard punt and your punt receive team losing the ball deep in your territory.  I think both games for BU were lost by special teams.  I think your offense could be really good this year.  I was very impressed with your QB last year and Porta goes without saying.  We don't meet this year but will be rooting for your team as I thought you guys have a class bunch of kids.  Good luck and hope that the ball will bounce in your favor this year.

MR,

Don't you have some eligibility left?  You can fill the kicking void. :)

rockcat

MR,

I used to know all those details when I was thinking of finishing up my eligibility but I don't remember.  I think rules may have changed anyway.

Like you grad school is holding me back... :)

Just now starting to feel like my old self again. I DO think that, by Saturday, I did drink Becker County out of Hamm's. At least my head felt like it. But WOW! What a fun weekend! Great music and tons of laughs. It took us an hour to get from the site to Pelican Rapids yesterday. It was nice to not have to use a porta-potty (Bethel reference) after 4 days. And I should have my voice back by tomorrow.
+K to all for the hell of it.

Thanks.  I look forward to coming up there to play at ST Thomas.  With my first trip there is there anything about parking or do they get large crowds there.  I think we are coming up in the morning on Saturday and was wondering if traffic was bad around the campus.
