St. Thomas doesn't usually draw much of a fan base.  You'll probably end up parking on the street, but it shouldn't be too bad.  Traffic will be usual St. Paul traffic for a Saturday morning--nothing to worry about, but heavier than Pella.

So I attended a bachelor party (for certain bum-shouldered, balding guy you know willy) on Saturday...there's nothing like a day of paintball, special export, rolling rock, hamm's, pbr, hooter's, leinie honey weiss, applebee's, shots, leinie sunset wheat, strip clubs, 7 songs worth of lap dances and 8 dollar beers at the strip club to put a dent in the old wallet...

Anyone else use firefox and not be able to login???

I stopped using Firefox but fired it up to sign in and did not have a problem.

BDB

Guys, bennie,

Mrs. BDB, son, daughter and I are heading off to our summer vacation.

Hopefully, Mrs. BDB and I will find a mellow Hamm's groove (and other things  ;))  and not the emergency room.

I will miss the MIACPP.

Fins, glad you survived the Fest and didn't need sumanders services.    :)

As DuffMan said a few weeks back, something like "I am on vacation, I'm not dead."

See you in a week.

hey duff have you ever fished in the park rapids area? My Grandparents used to own some land up in that area.  Haven't been up there in about 16-17 years.  What is the name of the lake that the Mississippi starts from. Walked across that little stream when I was a kid and got a t-shirt saying "I walked across the Mississippi river" LOL.

DuffMan

Never fished the area, but Itasca is the lake you're thinking of.  I do have a camping trip planned for that area in late September, though, and I'm sure that I'll bring a few rods with.

MR

Thanks.  I look forward to coming up there to play at ST Thomas.  With my first trip there is there anything about parking or do they get large crowds there.  I think we are coming up in the morning on Saturday and was wondering if traffic was bad around the campus.

A UST fan base?  Not unless they are playing SJU.   With how the Dutch travel I wouldn't be surprised to see the red outnumber the purple yet again (nor would I mind it!!!)

There is a parking lot immediately outside of the stadium at the corner of Cretin and Summit, and if you get there reasonably early you should have no problems parking there.  It's a great tailgating spot too!!!  St. Paul traffic on a Saturday morning is nonexistent- it you come up 35E to 94 West to Cretin you really shouldn't have much of a problem to deal with.

Daily SJU article: Gagliardi wants to keep the maroon parka instead of giving it to the hall of fame.

Fins, No call from you to act as a Bail Bondsman this weekend. Things must have gone well at the FEST!

Traffic is noticeably lighter this morning in our little burg! ;D
Just now starting to feel like my old self again. I DO think that, by Saturday, I did drink Becker County out of Hamm's. At least my head felt like it. But WOW! What a fun weekend! Great music and tons of laughs. It took us an hour to get from the site to Pelican Rapids yesterday. It was nice to not have to use a porta-potty (Bethel reference) after 4 days. And I should have my voice back by tomorrow.
+K to all for the hell of it.

Sumander - DL people are the best!

Fins, glad to hear you survived. Sunday morning it took Sum jr. a half an hour plus to get from the FEST in to town. Granted his condition could have played a part of that.

Pine to Palm golf tournament this week and then we roll the sidewalks up for winter! ;D

Here's how the Mississippi really got started:

That's Fins, III on our trip there last year.

OK, one more shot, just because it's so purdy up there...

It's hard to follow a picture of Fins' kid peeing in a lake, but someone has to try.   8)

On their wedding night, the young bride approached her new husband and asked for $20.00 for their first lovemaking encounter. In his highly aroused state, her husband readily agreed.

This scenario was repeated each time they made love, for more than 30 years, with him thinking that it was a cute way for her to afford new clothes and other incidentals that she needed.

Arriving home around noon one day, she was surprised to find her husband in a very drunken state. During the next few minutes, he explained that his employer was going through a process of corporate downsizing, and he had been let go. It was unlikely that, at the age of 59, he'd be able to find another position that paid anywhere near what he'd been earning, and therefore, they were financially ruined.

Calmly, his wife handed him a bank book which showed more than thirty years of steady deposits and interest totaling nearly$1 million. Then she showed him certificates of deposits issued by the bank which were worth over $2 million, and informed him that they were one of the largest depositors in the bank. She explained that for the more than three decades she had "charged" him for $ex, these holdings had multiplied and these were the results of her savings and investments.

Faced with evidence of cash and investments worth over $3 million, her husband was so astounded he could barely speak, but finally he found his voice and blurted out, "If I'd had any idea what you were doing, I would have given you all my business!"

That's when she shot him.

You know, sometimes, men just don't know when to keep their mouths shut.

That's the funniest one I've read in a long time, roflmao.

Thanks for the chuckle.
