Royal. did you see Bethel vs CC last year.  Schumacher 16 of 19 for 148 passing..7 to Rodel,  22 rushes for 110.  With Schumacher gone..I'm thinking the Royals have a good shot against the Cobs...especially early in the season with CC's new QB and 7 or 8 new guys on D..

Although, CC QB may be an issue and some defensive players will be new, but it's not 7 or 8 new players.  These are guys who have been 2nd team for 1 or 2 years and were playing behind better players who were seniors.  Our D-Line will be the best part of the D, the linebackers all have experience, and our Defensive backfield will be ok, but 2 new corners will be installed.  We will just have to see.  All i know is I can't wait for the opening kickoff.

cobbernation,

As long as you have the same DB covering Gearman things will be just fine.

Thanks for your replys.  We hope to get there early.  The jokes here are pretty funny too.  I think I will have to check them out more often.  I can see now why you guys have so many more posts than the IIAC site.

Mighty Royal,

What do you think about Kirby Carr?  I heard he hits hard... ;)

A man gets home, screeches his car into the driveway, runs into the house, slams the door and shouts at the top of his lungs, "Honey, pack your bags. I won the damn lottery!"

The wife says, "Oh my God! You're kidding?! What should I pack, beach stuff or mountain stuff?"

The husband yells back, "It doesn't matter.  Just get the hell out!"

[Yeah, it's an oldie but it still made me laugh.]

A guy walks into a bar with a pet alligator by his side and puts the alligator up on the bar. He then turns to the astonished patrons and says, "I'll make you a deal. I'll open this alligator's mouth and place my privates inside. Then the gator will close his mouth for one minute. He'll then open his mouth and I'll remove my unit unscathed. In return for witnessing this spectacle, each of you will buy me a drink."

The crowd murmured their approval. The man stood up on the bar, dropped his trousers, and placed his privates in the alligator's open mouth. The gator closed his mouth as the crowd gasped. After a minute, the man grabbed a beer bottle and rapped the alligator hard on the top of its head. The gator opened his mouth and the man removed his privates unscathed as promised.

The crowd cheered and the first of his free drinks were delivered. The man stood up again and made another offer, "I'll pay anyone $100 who's willing to give it a try."

A hush fell over the crowd. After a while, a hand went up in the back of the bar. A blonde woman timidly spoke up, "I'll try, but you have to promise not to hit me on the head with the beer bottle."
