What do you feel like talking about, MR?  We've exhausted Hamm's talk for a while, we've got no pictures from BDB to oogle, and we can't say too much about football with 3 practices under their belts.

Here you go Duff. 2 Anna shots to get your blood moving this morning.  :)

As the season draws near and the talk turns to MIAC football most of the time, I can see that I will definately be out of my league.

But, for all other subjects and pics I will be hangin' around.  ;D

KR-  When you said 'Willmar area' you explained a lot...  Kinda like 'Sartell'   ;D

BDB- the blood is definitely flowing!   Cept now I get to go hang out with about 98 sweaty, stinking 9-12 grade boys from 8-12:30....  (Don't get me wrong, I love coaching!) but I might have to have a refresher look after that.
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

I'm not even sure what that mean, but I'll take it as an insult.  You're going down, Hawick boy ::)

A tradition unrivaled...

Hey, I used to live in Sartell. I resemble that remark, as well.  ;)

I've noticed that it is pronounced Alec by the locals but Alex bout non-residents. However, the residents spell it Alex.

At the risk of being cast in the same lot as the MM I have to agree with him. Have a good friend from Alexandria, and this is exactly the case.

BDB, Thanks for getting the blood going! :)
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

Does anyone just call it Alexandria?   ???

Nice job, Koren, getting in the police chase and probably getting busted for driving under the influence.  :P

Way to flush 12 mil down the toilet.

Fins, you busy?  ;)

I think I can help him out. Obviously a case of either entrapment or mistaken identity.  8)

Oh, 'tis a happy day here at Fins & Associates, Inc. Along with the usual stack of envelopes with the little windows in them, today's mail brought an envelope from the SJU athletic department, which contained my Johnnie football tickets.  :-*

Fins is probably still getting over the group hug experience at the trial lawyers' meeting in Alex/Alec. He'll get back to work tomorrow.  ;D

BTW, NWA is having a fare sale.  Any recommendations on home games not to miss this year?  We'll be there Labor Day and probably for GA (Family Weekend).  And do I need to get tickets in advance?!?

DuffMan

As a parent, I think you'll get two tickets for home games.  That's the way it usually works.  Otherwise, you can just buy them at the gate, or someone at the pregame Stiftungsfestivities usually has some extras, possibly reserved seats.

The Bethel game is usually a good one to watch.  St. Thomas is always a great Johnnie experience if not a good game.  Concordia is usually a great game, but you'd be better off flying into Fargo.  It's a long trek from MSP.

There are only 6 home games and you're already coming to 2. Just buy 4 more flights so you won't miss a thing.
Game tickets are always available. In fact, this year is the 1st year I'll have tickets in advance.

A young monk arrives at the monastery. He is assigned to helping the other monks in copying the old canons and laws of the church by hand.
He notices, however, that all of the monks are copying from copies, not from the original manuscript. So, the new monk goes to the head Abbot to question this, pointing out that if someone made even a small error in the first copy, it would never be picked up! In fact, that error would be continued in all of the subsequent copies.
The head monk, says, "We have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point, my son." He goes down into the dark caves underneath the monastery Where the original manuscripts are held as archives in a locked vault that hasn't been opened for hundreds of years. Hours go by and nobody sees the old Abbot.
So, the young monk gets worried and goes down to look for him. He sees him banging his head against the wall and wailing, "We missed the "R" ! , we missed the "R" !"
His forehead is all bloody and bruised and he is crying uncontrollably. The young monk asks the old Abbot, "What's wrong, father?"
With a choking voice, the old Abbot replies, "The word was... CELEBRATE!!!"

Jeez, I don't get to a computer for 4 days and I miss about 13 pages.  I even missed the big 1000th page celebration. Oh well.  FYI Bagdad is just beautiful this time of year :-\
