Interesting: Kickoff seems to be giving the nod for 2nd place in the MIAC to Bethel over the Cobbers.   :o

Is that such a surprise?  Look at who is returning for the Royals vs. the Cobbers..Royals have a pretty decent returning cast to make big strides this year!

Don't forget about Porta!!!

Seriously, I'd put Bethel in spot 3 or 4.  I think SJU and Concordia will be 1 and 2 for sure, and UST and SOC will challenge for the 3rd spot with Bethel.

Holy balls!  I was browsing the SJU roster and there is a freshman O-lineman that is 6'9" 270.   That's some incredible size.  Drew Percival from Blake.  Anyone heard of him?

MR,
You would say that if Bethel had no returning players for a season.  You are a true fan to your alma mater and I commend you for that, it's just too bad that CC and SJU will always be better than them.  Sorry!  ;)

Plus, just as everyone says preseason rankings and other stuff don't mean much.  It depends on who comes to play on Saturdays from Sept. to Dec.

Do you think he is the one who sued McD's for being fat?

Mighty Royal

I have a hard time picturing a guy who is 6'9" 270 being fat.

6'9 he's almost big enough to play little league for that Saudia Arabian team! ;D

This dude could actually make Pantzke and Engwall look small!

6'9 270 would put him at a BMI just a shade above mine and I would imagine there might be some muscle on him.

Size 18? Kicks the crap out of my size 13's!

Duff,

Percival also has a size 18 shoe.

Speaking of size, has anyone been watching the LLWS?  There is a kid from the middle east who is 6'8" and weighs in at 255lbs.  The best part...he is 13.  He boasts a size 19 shoe.  Maybe it's something in the water over there.

KR,
Congrats! So is it ...Dr. Kilted Rat now?  ;)

+k to you  ;D

WOW, and my 700th post is on the MIAC board!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

I read that he appologized for it, saying he's gone through a lot in the last 48 hours what with being traded...sounds like a mel gibson to me.
I'd post a lot more if I had a real job

I have spoken to our friend that wears orange a few times over the past few weeks. He is alive. He is ready for the season to start. He is picking Bethel to win the conference. J/k.

What game is the press festivities? I sure hope Sept. 9. I have a wedding on the 2nd.

Is it football season or what?

I've been away to long but sometimes life gets in the way of football.

I was figuring FreeBird would be all over me since the Kickoff just came out.  But, I actually picked BU to do well.

This Penz QB at STO is supposed to be the real deal.  We'll find out soon enough but Meidt is excited about their upcoming season.  They have a tougher road schedule in 2006 so I think they will stumble a tad.

Concordia is a mystery.  I know people close to the program that say the defense might actually be better this year but you don't just replace a 2 time All MIAC QB over night.  ROdel will need time to grow in that position.

Should be a fun year in the MIAC.

Huge Kudos to GAC for scheduling Willamette.  cross conference games in the West Region are great!!

I've made some additions to the site including JR holding the walnut and bronze!!
