Duff- I agree that he does tend to run in out of control on kick-offs but when you take out two guys and allow your teammate to make a tackle because of your efforts does that not aid the team? He was shaken up one hit he administered in Saturdays game however.

On kick-offs?  Fine.  Playing defense?  Not at SJU.  He's got to learn to play his position and rely on his teammates to play theirs.  Guys like Hood an Dumonceaux were so good because they did exactly what the coaches asked them to.  If he can learn to do that, watch out!

Well then, maybe when the next DIII poll comes out, there should be an asterisc next to SJU's record, stating that while they only won by 4, they easily could have won by 30+.

OB27: 4th and 2 and the BU 48 yd line, circa 2K3...

Bottomline is that Bethel is a cupcake and has not so gracefully slipped back into the mediocrity of the MIAC.  I hope UST and GAC enjoy your company.

I think you're reading a bit more into his comment than he intended. Simply put, SJU had chances that they didn't capitalize on. Had they played better, different score. we all know that they only played good enough to win 15-11.

JohnnieLax02

Fins,

Welll put.  I'm not whining or complaining about it.  It just seemed more in favor of SJU than the score showed.  We didn't capitalize on the opportunities that we had, but still managed to wlak away 15-11 winners.

I have to say that I felt we could have won by more, but we didn't really deserve to they way we played.
I didn't do it....yet.

oldbethel27

TT - ...probably about as graceful as your comeback

finsleft - I receive your level-headed description; I probably did read more into it than TT intended. However, judging by his remarks past and since, I seem to be somewhat justified.

Yea close counts in horseshoes and hand grenades as our good friends playing for Jesus  :o on North Snelling know oh so well (how many playoff Wins? somebody refresh my memory).  SJU won and moved on.  The red is notorious for not playing well at the beginning of the year often taking a loss to UWEC in the past 10 yrs (6-4 record, I believe).  But as all the Johnnies fans know, the goal is to win in November and December (take notes Royals).

27: Don't be angry bc your fearless leader can't make good game decisions when the game is in the balance...I hope I don't need to elaborate.

EDIT: I always find it interesting how the Bethel supporters come out of the woodwork this time of yr.  Unfortunately the Johnnies don't play them til the last game of the season, otherwise we could only be so lucky to see them go into offseason hiding a little early...

TT - Yeah I'm real angry. In fact, I can't sleep at night knowing that Bethel hasn't won a playoff game. To quote Will Hunting: "it really gets in the way of my yoga." Do I want Bethel to win? with all my heart. Does it ruin my life when they don't? I take much greater joy in many other things. I commented on a remark you made that I found absurd and baseless, and you bring up past games, grenades and Jesus? Sounds like you and Jesus have some issues to work out (since you continue to bring Him up unsolicited).

TT - Yeah, it is interesting that the Bethel folks have other things to spend their time on in the off-season, besides blogging about football.

Sorry to all you reasonable Johnnies out there, but TT has put a lump in my sock that I simply must attend to.

TDT, how the hell would you know about Bethel posters this time of year? Aren't you usually kicked off this board about this time of year??   ???

Thanks for leaving Freebird.

Now lets see if you can do it till Sunday.  I am betting not...

Kilted Rat: Did you get that 35. 652 number by averaging the total points from the 34-0 and 37-0 games with Bethel in 01 and 04 (5th in the country in 01 and "high expectations" in 04, hmmmm weird how those expectations never pan out in Arden Hills)?  Seems like you know what you are talking about.

Bus Driver says that Bethel posters will be scrambling for cover come Sunday morning and come outta hibernation next August with the "Johnnies won't beat us this year" speel.

All we need now is Freebird with some babble.  I know Duffman and KR are looking forward to that.

It makes me laugh everytime I think of the poor 50 year old never been who sat at his 9-5 desk job all off season watching the hours tick by till he could smite us again.

Sweetheart, it is not our fault that they don't let you surf Post Patterns while you are working at the McDonald's drive up window! Don't be hating on the gainfully employed! ;D

Man gone for 2 days and AO is still talking out of his ass.  Pat I don't remember reading the agreement when I signed up at D3 but wasn"t their something in there about age restriction?  AO you absolutely sound like your in middle school. I'm just trying to help you man, find another board, maybe Teen Weekly, before somebody calls Amaru to knock you out, and this board HATED him...  And as far as the F bomb lobbed by KR, it did't come out of left field, it came right from the mound, and I think Ricky was throwin the heater! I cant believe he missed, not like KR.

Thanks achilles, as much as it hurts me to admit it, you Bethel posters do have some quality posts every now and again  ;D

Quirky Doctor Happenings, Medical Examinations (for KR, who was MIA on Saturday)

AND FINALLY!!!.......... (This one has KR's name written all over it!!)  .....
8. As a new, young MD doing his residency in OB, I was quite embarrassed when performing female pelvic exams. To cover my embarrassment I had unconsciously formed a habit of whistling softly. The middle-aged lady upon whom I was performing this exam suddenly burst out laughing and further embarrassing me. I looked up from my work and sheepishly said, "I'm sorry. Was I tickling you?" She replied, "No doctor, but the song you were whistling was, "I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Wiener".
Dr. wouldn't submit his name

Nope, I whistle the theme from Shaft or the I Wanna be Like Mike gatorade tune when I'm doing medical things that make me uncomfortable.

I've had it just about up to here with the smack talk and disrespect for the UMAC and Northwestern College Football.

Here comes the

Woo Woo!

Shirt-tail relative of mine. Really! Go Max!

Fins, No offense but that kid has "spooky eyes"

Those aren't spooky eyes, that just means he's constipated.
I had an uncle who had that look in his eyes once, gave him a tablespoon of mineral oil, he spent the next hour on the throne and he's been fine ever since.

Or Nostradumbass, either way I remember that prediction and I remember it's accuracy and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Freebird babbling? I'd almost rather have Amaru back :D

+k to all except 1 idiot and it isn't TDT in celebration of finishing my first day of rotations and no one dying despite the fact I actually assisted on some procedures!
