With that pearl, I am signing off for a few weeks. There is too much reading involved in keeping up now that the season has started. I would like to thank all you guys who were on here all summer. It kept me entertained and laughing every day.  You are a good group of guys and I look forward to meeting all of you at some point this season. Good luck to all!

I'll echo JF. You guys are the best! +1 to JF. The rest of you guys will have to wait.  ;)

Hey KR, thought you were gone for a week?  ???

Nice YouTube find. My wife and kids and I were just back from Mass and Bert lays down the F-bombs on us.  :-\

Wonka, did I ever make your column or was my stuff too lame? I understand if it was.   :-[

I started rotations today, I'm in MN for this week and next.

Due to starting rotations, my posting will be severely limited between the hours of 8AM and 5PM.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

OR......We could call UWW   W7, for the number or points they allowed SJU, or for the 7 fumbles they caused in that game.

You can't pick a fight with me.  [Name that movie!]

Don't let that keep you from dropping in late at night after you've had a few.  Reading would be strictly optional at best and likely unnecessary.   8)   Don't forget your way back.

It makes me laugh everytime I think of the poor 50 year old never been who sat at his 9-5 desk job all off season watching the hours tick by till he could smite us again.

Sweetheart, it is not our fault that they don't let you surf Post Patterns while you are working at the McDonald's drive up window! Don't be hating on the gainfully employed! ;D

I'm sure your boss at McDonalds will be sad to know that I am employed by ESPN and don't have an interest in your profession bennie.

All we need now is Freebird with some babble.  I know Duffman and KR are looking forward to that.

That is an interesting comment coming from the running laughing stock and punch line of post patterns.

I'm holding out on giving you one until I get paid for it!

Freebird,
No clue who you heard that from. I was a solid JV O-Guard my junior year and a special teamer with occassional appearances on offense senior year. I was the most accurate long-snapper in school history though!
If you're talking wrestling, my collegiate record was 1-20. I was pretty decent in high school, but never great.

At SJU I excelled in drinking and bus driving though not at the same time ;D

Some chump from Concordia at a tournament in Florida. Go figure, I fly all the way to Florida for a tournament, run like hell to lose 14 lbs of christmas dinner weight in 20 hours and then wrestle a dude from 150 miles away. Pinned him though and made him squeal in the process.

tmerton- It's University of Wisconsin Whitewater. How do you figure 3 W's?

Term: Whitewater [origin of place name]
Definition: The Menominee, Chippewa, Ottawa, and Potawatomi tribes called the river by Indian names meaning "rily, whitish water," caused by white, soft clay in some parts of it. The town is named from the river.

[Source: Wis. Hist. Coll. 3: 428 (note).]

Just because the Indians left the space out doesn't mean we don't know that it's the University of Wisconsin with the Whitish Water - or Wisconsin Whitewater for short.

Or we could call it WWWW - Wisconsin with the Whitish Water.  Maybe just W4.

It's just a matter of figuring these things out.  ;D

Wow, he just pimp slapped you jane. Don't mess with the Gold Domers !!
