TDT - there was no encounter with any badges.  Just a simple slip of the mind that took place.  I'll fill you in later.

Fins - I'll tell you when I get there but I think so. :-[
Go Johnnies!!!

Gee, Veek, you looked okay the last I saw you.  Of course, I didn't repair to the PA at halftime either.  Man, the things I miss (by sitting with Mrs. tmerton)  8)

You guys can't leave me hanging.  Fins let's hear it!  I'll bet Wise Ol' Veek has went to slumber for the evening...

I think the story best be told around the fire by Uncle Veek on Saturday.

Willy Wonka

Dave Campbell, the Twins beat writer and former Tommie "scrub backup linebacker," has declined the invitation for Media Day. He's running in a 5K Saturday morning and covering some silly Twins/Tigers game later in the day. Frank the Tank has not replied as yet. I'm hoping we can at least get his 10-gallon hat to make an appearance.

Mongo has yet to return my call/post/myspace messages about his attendance. Apparently he's found stuff besides a job to keep him extremely busy these last few days.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Johnnie Red

Duffman, I will be there around the same time as you. Piperinsider, if you could bring some brats and buns, that would be great. Based on last Saturday's demand, I would think three dozen should do it. Remember, you could always stop in Dassel or Kimball and see what culinary delights they have to offer.

It will be interesting to see how many media stars we have in attendance for the Stiftungsfestivities. Still waiting to see if Terri Traen from KQ will be able to make it. I will also have to follow up with Mike Max of WCCO. Just think, if only we could have gotten permission from the "powers that be" to have the novelty wrestling event with Buck "Rock `n Roll" Zumhofe which was planned for this weekend.  :-\

River Falls fans, you are cordially invited to join us for the tailgate party on Saturday. We are located in the parking lot above the scoreboard end of the field. Starting time is 9:00 a.m. with the grills going by 10:00 a.m. Bring a culinary delight to share and the beverage of your choice.

I'm looking forward to seeing another WIAC team behind the pine curtain.  I can't wait for Saturday!

I understand why.  You guys do really well against the WIAC'S mid and lower tier teams.  Since this is the last year of your contract with Eau Claire, you should think about scheduling Stout, La Crosse  or WW next year for pre-season.  I hear they are always looking for pre-season opponents!  ;)

I believe we scheduled WW in 2002 and tromped them pretty good.  And if you remember correctly, the contract with UWEC started the year after SJU lost to them in the playoffs.  With the amazing parity in the WIAC, why should it matter who we play?  You never know who's going to end up on top of that scrum (the WIAC).

I see the day is starting off right with a little WIAC/MIAC smack talk.  :)

Seems like a little Anna this morning is appropriate.  ;)

A cup of coffee with Anna. Breakfast of Champions.  ;D

So what's the M.O. for the Stiftungsfestivities (man, that's a bear to type)... do we all wear a sticker that says: HELLO, I'm [insert Post Patterns moniker ]   ?

No, it's more of a Hi, I'm [insert board name here].  Can I get you a beer or some Koolaid?

I wish!  You never know who you're talking to, and you feel like an idiot if you say "Hi, I'm DuffMan" to someone who's never read Post Patterns before.  :D

Have to give River Falls some props for their schedule - playing at SJU, at Pacific Lutheran and then at NAIA power St. Francis.  That's a pretty good nonconference schedule, not to mention opening with 3 games away from home.

sumander

Sumander is officially out for this weekend. :-[ Oldest daughter's college golf team has a meet in town Sat & Sun.

The return of the Award winning brats will have to wait!

BDB, Thanks for the dose of Anna. :D

You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
