During college gameday last saturday, I saw a sign reading: Brady Quinn's Sister for Heisman.   Thought that was pretty good. 

Summander was seen with a sign on gameday?  But I saw him at the Stiftungsfestivities!

It's official. Aftering working the phones, Wonka is a pussy who will be in Rochester instead of Collegeville this weekend.

JR, that means TRIPLE rations when I show up at the Homecoming affair with the Gusties. When TDT cheapshots me, I expect to spew glorious hamburger meat all over the fake grass.

Hey! Willy Weiner! If and when you ever do show up, you'll eat last and eat whatever cold stuff is left over.

JR- I sent  invite emails to Frank the Plank and the sports staff at the Daily Planet and to WJON, but haven't heard from any of them. Maybe media day will be Mark L., Brian B. and Wooderson Jr. and Sr. 

Even though Sumander will be absent, my partner (work, not life)will bring a limited supply of venison cheese polish sausage processed by the now famous Lakes Meats of DL.

The PA is facing west in my driveway, chilling down the case of warm Hamm's I just bought at Westside. Frank, you better get out there, the Hamm's inventory is running low. None in the cooler.

And JR, our favorite Ramsey Co. prosecutor informed me that he will be making an appearance tomorrow.

During college gameday last saturday, I saw a sign reading: Brady Quinn's Sister for Heisman.   Thought that was pretty good. 

Made me wonder if the gophers will ever get to be the home for college gameday--I'm guessing only after they get their new stadium.  And they stop sucking.

During last year's Fiesta Bowl it got really old showing her split jersey and man jaw.  It seemed to be 50/50 between guys who thought she was hot and not hot.  I cast for not hot.

I heard if the Gophers can secure a upper half team from a BCS conference for their stadium opener they hold a good shot at getting GameDay.  I know they are trying to get Cal's repayment of their 2 game Home/Away agreement to lock in that date.  Of course, I also heard from every Johnnie I know that "GameDay WILL be in Collegeville for the Bethel game" in 2003.  It would have been neat but D3 is D3 and I'm sure ESPN had better place$ to be.

One a similar note - how nice was it for Gags to beat Bethel that year in that atmosphere instead of breaking the record against Crown?

It was a hot day in rural Stearns County.  Helga hung out the wash to dry, put a roast in the oven, and then went downtown to pick up some dry cleaning.

"Gootness, it's hotter den hell today," she mused to herself as she walked down Main Street. She passed a tavern and thought , "Vy nodt?"  So she walked in and took a seat at the bar.

The bartender walked up and asked her what she would like to drink.

"Ya know," Helga said, "it is zo hot, I tink I'll have myself a cold beer."

Driving 3 hours after less than 5 hours of sleep to hang out with one guy I actually know to watch a blowout for the wrong team when I could sleep in and see friends I haven't hung out with in more than four years? Apparently logic isn't needed these days to play a lawyer...
