Break up the Johnnies!  Prep wins its first game since 2002 .  Has the Prep always been that bad?

Fins: A Bravo Burrito?  That sounds like something that would make me sh!t for a week straight.  Does it do that to you?

No, but the picante sauce always reminds me in the morning where I ate the night before.  :o

Ut oh, Doomsday in Catdome Nation.  Looks like the Kitties will be coming to Cville this Fall.  Looking at that score a few moments ago warmed TDT's heart.  Good night

The same team that beat Linfield 28-14 beat Willamette the week before 42-0. Now we just have to wait for the Linfield/Willamette game and the Johnnie/GAC game and we might be able to use AO logic to crown the Johnnies National Champions before the season ends!! ;D Too bad these weren't JV games so that we could get a real read on the match-ups! :D

In recent years, yes. But back in the old days with the state catholic conference, we were contenders. We've done pretty good rolling out Dumonceaux boys for Gags over the years.  :)

AO

don't worry TC:  I am perfectly safe and feeling victorious.

I hope everyone is still enjoying their moral victory in the Pick em's by picking augsburg over Northwestern.   Unless there was some sane reason why 95% of you expected augsburg to beat Northwestern at Northwestern.

Hopefully they can carry their winning streak into their game with the Minnesota Academy for the Deaf this week. I heard they go no huddle and use silent counts.

I am amazed - how do you nail yourself up on your own cross like that? ??? I mean, doing that last hand must be a bitch.

Don't see your name in the pickem's, AO. It's easy to talk smart after.

Reminds me of the one joke my uncle knows that he tell every year at the deer shack. Reader's Digest version:
Guy's mouth is aflame after eating some hot food, so someone tells him to eat a dish of ice cream, which he does and it eases his pain. The next day, he's on the throne and can be heard through the door yelling, "C'mon ice cream!"

Go Twins! Tough series coming up against the A's. Who in their right mind would watch the Vikes when the Twins are on at the same time?

USTBench

Tough call for me here out in DC. LSATs on the 30th or weekend Twins series in Baltimore. I might have to go weekend Twins series in Baltimore.

Not MIAC or DIII related but UND beats #3 1-AA UNI at UNI and is still #10 in Don Hansen's DII poll. Proof once again that Don Hansen's poll sucks.

UND is lead by the Manke Brothers from good old Detroit Lakes High School! ;D ;D

As announced at the Johnnie game yesterday, Auggie Tech is only going to have 600 tickets for Johnnie fans next Saturday when we travel to Minneapolis. Gates will open at 11:00 a.m. You would think the powers that be at Auggie Tech would move the game to Collegeville, St. Paul Central or someplace where they could accomodate all the Johnnie fans. ???

Sorry to inform you but the world does not revolve around the Johnnie fans.  To expect a school to rent another field just so your presious fans can go is absurd.
It was hardly a "the world revolves around us! Make more room for us!" statement. Someone is a little touchy. Regardless, you can look at this two ways:

1) Renting another field to make room for more fans means a MUCH greater take at the box. At ~$5 a head (I don't know what they actually charge) plus concessions, an additional 600 Johnnie fans is a nice pile of cash for the Augsburg athletic department. It would even help pay for the field improvements causing the seating problem in the first place.

2) However, renting another field to make more room just assures that Johnnie fans will outnumber Auggie fans. Whoops. And, I guess, whatever home turf advantage they'd have on campus would go away.

If I were running Augsburg, I'd go for the money, since the loss is a given ;)
Nice day, huh?
