Hmmm, it seems our DuffMan has a penchant for impersonating the fair residents of Springfield all over the internet...  He turned up as "Ralph Wiggum" at a different site that I wander through occaisionally.

In the spirit of full disclosure, some of you may know me as "Replacement-Level Primate" elsewhere on the interweb.  I think it's interesting to see other people's posting styles at different forums.   But maybe that's just me.  Can you tell it's Friday and I don't feel like working?

Got a response from the Peter Hutchinson for Governor camp this morning. He and/or Maureen Reed, the Independent Party candidate for Lt. Governor, will be in attendance for the Stiftungsfestivities in honor of Eugene McCarthy and Paul Wellstone when Carleton comes to town on September 30 for Homecoming weekend. Now if we can only get Michelle Bachmann to make it. No go from Governor Pawlenty. :'(

Who wants to be in charge of the "We Love Lutherans and Green Jello" Stiftungsfestivities on October 14 when the Gusties come to Collegeville? I will be making a trip that weekend to Boulder for family weekend at CU to see my little girl and to watch some D1 football.

It will take an army to replace you, JR. We'll form a committee.

Didn't see anyone post the SJU injury report.  It is as follows:

ยป Both of the Johnnies starting running backs sat out practice most of this week. Junior Craig Luberts, who missed last week's game against Wisconsin-River Falls, is still nursing a pulled groin. He returned to practice late on Thursday for a handful of plays. Senior Mike Lofboom left last Saturday's game with a bruised rib/back. He has not practiced yet this week. Both players will be game-time decisions Saturday and are likely to see less snaps than usual if they do play.

Junior linebacker Jeff Schulte, who missed last week's game with a mild high ankle sprain, returned to practice for a few plays Thursday, but is expected to sit out Saturday's game. Freshman Josh Rose is expected to again start in his place. Tight end Phil Giesen, who missed practice time earlier in the week with a bruised shoulder, returned Thursday and is expected to play Saturday. Senior defensive end Kevin McNamara (hamstring) and senior guard Rick Dold (ankle) both sat out practice Tuesday, but returned Wednesday and are expected to play Saturday.

Soccer is sweet. It was the first sport I officially played as a young elementary schooler, though I quit when I sucked after 8th grade to play concentrate on football and basketball.

On a Liriano note...no tear? No new damage? Hey Frank, is it possible he just has plantar vaginas of the arm? Do we need to give him a pep talk on sucking it up before the playoffs start?

I don't think any pep talks from us about overcoming injuries will motivate F-Bomb

though it's the last for MR if he keeps up this Chuck Norris stuff.  He stunk when he was on television and, PTL, he isn't even on late night out here.  As an unnamed fellow poster observed, it's like Helen Keller jokes.  If I'm not getting something, MR, let me know.

Dude, these Chuck Norris jokes rule!  If my karma stays the same or even goes down because of it, I could care less because I am going to make it a custom around here! :-* ;D

Who's traveling to the ghetto for the game tomorrow?  It's probably the closest one for me, so I'll be there, barring terrible weather (plus I have to miss the next two :-[).

I'd put Jean Claude's sweet dance moves back up on my avatar, but fins would smite the crap out of me

Whoa Nelly

Are Bethel games broadcasted on the radio?  I only noticed webcast info on their website.

Don't forget, if you're not heading out to any games tomorrow, you can watch the Gusties-Tommies live on the net...

Is there any way to save games broadcast on the internet?  Duff?

I have to take pictures at my son's (former) high school game tomorrow (the regular photog is going to be at a wedding in Sun Valley, the dog).  I'll listen to as much of the Augie game as I can and maybe watch the Tommie game if I can do both at the same time, but won't be around at the end (not that the end should be in doubt for the Johnnies).   I suppose the internet broadcasts will be archived but it would be bette to be able to save them on one's own drive.
