How is the old Perkins in Highland Park? Is it worth a vist sometime? Food? Drink? Which should I go there for?

cobbernation

Hats off to the Johnnies today.  They made the big plays when they needed them.  But I give credit to the cobbs, they played their hearts out.  It's not everyday you shut out the johnnies for 3 quarters.  It was a tough loss.  But a great game.

JR and miacmaniac good to meet you guys and look forward to seeing you down the road.

Anyone watching this amazing Notre Dame comeback?

piperinsider

That comeback just reminded me of three years ago on a Friday night at the Dome with another Michigan team.

Here's to you board. (I actually took this picture in 2004. I just found it tonight)

I prefer to forget said night.  The only time in my life the Goofers fooled me into thinking thy were any good.

Yep, its a proud day.  BU holds Carleton to 1 d*** yard rushing, and we cough up the ball 3 times...  RJ Jackson who ever the f*** he thinks he is gains next to nothing, yeah you loser, you had nothing to do with the loss, not the win, It had everything to do with the O giving the pill away 4 times.  I guess having 2 O starters out to surgery this week hurt, but we have one loss, and this year is far from over.  TDT this would be a good time for you to shut your hole, your team sucked today(I dont want to hear a win is a win, you little weasle, go ahead put this in quotes, as KR is thirsty tonight, you will be as empty as Bethel feels tonight by the end of the year.  And all of this from a Bethel poster approaching half way in the season..  I think Olaf will beat you, and that will make this season really interesting.  I would have let this game go, until I saw your mug avatar, and your really lame comments following the SJU stomp over the cobbers >  The Johnnies might suck, but at least they play today, you play ground hog day over, and over, and over.  Go ahead smart ass,  something about your record now from years ago is appropriate.  YOU SUCK. no wonder Coleman threw you out of here....

faunch, nor does anybody else.   Listen to your wife before John tries to recruit her.....................

johnniebackup67

and another couple of posts from that classy school Bethel.

johnniebackup67

I just don't understand the excuses for why Bethel lost, and no credit given to the Carleton team that was obviously better today (they did win it).  Johnnies won a tough game, Bethel lost one.  Good teams win them, bad teams don't.

And no one is classy all the time, but give credit where credit is due.

Yikes! If this is sour grapes from a BU father, I wonder what excuses the players have come up with tonight deep in their cups of grape juice and Crystal Light...
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

MR-
Sorry, must have missed those comments earlier, probably shouldn't have made a blanket statement about that school in Arden Hills, but I stand by what I said as pretaining to achilles.  How bad would you guys be tearing up a johnnie poster who said that?

CCKnight, you might want to lift the face plate on your suit of armor before you start talking about the two closest games in the MIAC being Auggie Tech and Olaf and Bethel and the Knights.  Have you seen Bethel play?  Your team better be a lot better than last year.  By the way your superstar J.C. Jackson lit up bethel last year for 13 total yards of offense in the 41-0 thriller.

Enjoying the taste of crow, RA?  :D

Another heart-breaker today for the Cobbs vs the Js.  Great game to watch as this one lived up to the recent history.  Johnnies have a lot of tools but I think that their O-line play and running game has got to improve.  Passing game is tough as always, but I thought that they would look to Gearman even more than they did.  Good luck the rest of the way.

Cobbers played their best game to date this season, but still found ways to beat themselves. You can absolutely not have turnovers like they did today, and when it is 3rd and goal at the one, with 2 minutes left, you HAVE to get a TD.  Defensive line finally got some pressure, and O-line starting driving people off the LOS. The big thing was that they finally played with some fire and intensity, despite the loss I hope that it keeps up.

JR and Maniac, nice to meet you guys at Mick's. I hope that you enjoyed it (JR I know that you enjoyed the game more than me). I will try to catch up with you guys for one of those Stiftungfestivities (sp??)

I am already looking forward to next year's Cobber-Johnnie game :)
RB George Rogers, about the upcoming season:
"I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."

It was great to meet you Cobbernation and M&G....good seeinjg you again, JR.

SJUCord was a classic study in excellent defensvie play by both teams. It was a fun game to watch and a thriller from kickoff to the final safety. A tough loss for the Cobbers, to say the least.

Sounds like Kofoed shoudl; be 100% or awfully close to that by Sat's game.

And TDT, I called it the way I saw it today.  We lost, you came close, and as you always say all the Bethel posters come out talking big the first part of the year, I would hate to be the Tommies next weekend, I would hate to be Wetzell on Monday during film, and after seeing your teams performance today, I am looking forward to our meeting in Arden Hills. We will be ready.

How was the Concordia Campus today??
