57- I will be in my seat-can't make the game, as my son is playing on saturday in youth football. But looking forward to getting up there in November.
Do you have all the charms ready for Saturday-seems like it could be another close game.

ZIP,
Everything ready. I knew the Cobbers would be angry and it took everything we could do to rally since AO didn't show up on the board. I had to leave for 10 minutes when we were down 10-0 and bennie rallyed us for 14 quick points. Hope she's with us this Sat. I could be a little late. Ramler will have the Knights ready. By comparative scores, Carleton should be about a 2TD favorite.

Football and politics really don't mix. The tailgate should be about fun and drinking, not telling mistruths to obtain votes, by both parties.
Does anyone want George Ryan at the tailgate?? :o

I refuse to watch MNF any more but I understand that mixing football and politics is one of the 746 reasons why it sucks.

Yes, I am sure that my on-line shopping while listening to the game is what rallied the team. ;) Then again, I know how a new pair of shoes perks me up, so maybe that was it! :D I will be here for the game Sat!! ;D

If Kennedy shows up on Saturday, I'll plug my nose and, fully clothed, lead him up to the Abbey Church, where a team of 10 priests will hear his confession for, among other things, giving tax breaks to the people and corporations who least need it, while making me and my son pay for it by reduced college aid and higher interest rates on student loans.
But he says he's not a Bush lackey, so he must not be.

I'm going to try and be the voice of reason here.

Two years ago I made the mistake of mixing politics with football on this board.  A lot of it was in good fun.  Some of it led to some animosity which hopefully has dissipated.

We're going to have a bunch of politicians on campus Saturday.  We are all going to have our opinions about them.  This may surprise some of you, but mine are quite strong and in some cases personal.

Let's stick to the facts on there.  Who, what, where, when.  I think it will make the weekend and fall much more enjoyable.

We can all agree on one thing:  Johnnie Football

Let's keep it to that on the board.  Oh, and Hamms, Anna, Animal House, etc.

BDB

I think finsleft's avatar should run for office.

She'd be good at campaigning door-to-door.

I'd vote for her.  ;)

Sure, BDB, you can be part of her crack campaign staff ...

I nominate this for post of the week.  Just about fell out of my chair.

BTW, I agree with BDB.  BDB, what do you think her positions would be?
