Can we get back to the chatter of Hamm's, Twins, and babes?  All this football talk is making TDT's head spin.  Fins are you making the trip to Northfield?  I understand there are a few good spots for some pregame food and beer.  Oles could you help the Johnnies' fans out with this...

Good point Benchwarmer...Oh jeezus we have 3 hours+ of Joe Morgan, I may watch the contest in silence...

Yeah, all that MIAC football talk really got outta hand.
My last football post until after the Twins beat the A's: No I won't be able to make the Ole, Ole game as I'm heading up to God's country tomorrow. For some reason SJU doesn't have school on Thursday and Friday, so me and my boys are going to find some partridge. Or watch baseball. Or both.

Interesting article in the Star Tribune about message boards -

http://www.startribune.com/142/story/716285.html

I like this quote from a local coach

"I never put much into it before because there's no credibility on those boards," he said."

I wonder if people think that about us?
Who cares?  :P

Duffman that is clearly a no-brainer.  I just perused the email from Theowick as well.  Sounds like a great event to mingle with the alums.  The Tomcziks know how to party.

Raiderguy: You are the "designated driver".  Always good to know a MUCk alum is working for the Johnnies  8).

Actually, that wasn't a coach, it was the Columbia Height QB from 2005, who posted that as part of a message that went on  "But people were quoting me saying things I never even said, so I kind of wanted to put an end to that.". He had reached the pont where he was sick and disgusted by the personal things being posted about him.

When you take the whole quote into account and the correct source, the comment makes sense.

Fortunately, MIACPP rarely gets to a level remotely close to chraracter assassination of players or coaches...wer'e too busy with Anna, Hamms, Anna, wacky criminals in Carver County, Anna, Twins, Anna, shotgun contests, more Anna, and the occasional TDT joke  :)

oh, and more Anna, BDB--  please  ::)

That former Columbia Heights QB is a frosh at UST this year.

I'm just pleased that one of our players did the right thing on the message board:
"Our player praised Delano for winning and wished them good luck at state," he said. "It was good to see because I am always on them, reminding them that they have to be good ambassadors wherever they are."

BTW, did I see on the news this morning that Carver County is on fire? Hope JR is OK.

Even better in town here are the "ANonymous" voice mails left on coaches phones at school.....

I wonder how many of the posts on the high school boards are from parents of kids who are warming the bench, and the parents are mad because it's only "politics" that their kid is not playing??

Might check out pear trees for those partridge.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

The La was nothing to write home about....Sals was a blast.......Ran into Frank's Ladies, and "Red" knew how to dance!!!

I had too many Hamm's at the La to make it over to Sal's.  Thanks to Dusty for bringing the lovely ladies to the Stiftungfestivities.  They were a welcome addition and you should invite them every time.

Just read the article on D3 Hoops about the LAX basketball player that drowned in the Mississippi River over the weekend.

The article said that 8 young men have had the same fate there in the last 9 years.

That is a tragic statistic.  :-\
