So, How protected is the field at STOLAF? 15-25mph south winds with gusts to 40mph is the forecasts for Saturday. Who relies more on the pass SJU or STOLAF?

Scrubby, 28 SJU Oles 14??  I am not sure what Koefed playing last years Bethel  team has to do with this years game against St. Olaf, but this is the same SJU team that scored a whopping 14 points against 1-3 concordia, and put up 29 points against Carleton.  I dont care what anybody says about Carleton, they beat Bethel on a fluke touchdown, or they would be a 2-2 team.  Bethel lost. But St. Olaf is not Carleton.  The only stomp will be people trying to get out of the mud on their way out of the stadium.  This one is close either way, comes down to turnovers, and how well the Johnnie Defense can stop the Oles offense.  BU has the Oles in a couple of weeks, so this will be a good one to watch.  I predict we have BU and SJU in a 5-1 tie for second and a 6-0 St Olaf team by tommorow night. And if that happens, the only team left that can beat Olaf is Bethel.

Looks like someone started the party early! Royalachilles, will you save me a drink? I have a feeling I will need one after work today! ;D ;)

RA,
You and everyone on this board know that those score comparisons don't mean bubkiss.  You want to compare scores?  SJU railed on Auggie Technical Institure 60-0.  Concordia snuck past ATI in overtime.  From that, you'd predict SJU over Concordia by at least 50, and we all know that didn't happen.

We'll see how SJU plays tomorrow.  No one saw the 63-9 beatdown coming that the big red dished out to the Norwegians last year, but it happened.  This game will be interesting, and Gagliardi will outcoach Meidt yet again.

...I'd agree with the stat's related to other games, but my point about the QB is that he is a play maker.  Lastweek,  I think the game would have been a blowout if you have your starter playing!!  The Johnnies ran the ball well vs Carlton, not as good passing.  I think if SJU has its starting QB, it's a 20+ game, not a 10 point game.  In regards to your comment about Carlton not being a St. Olaf type team, St. Olaf has no running game since they lost the good running back!!  SJU has to stop only two phases of the game, Pass and Special teams!!  Again, just my point of view, which sometimes I'm not sure your allowed to give out here!!

Not real protected.  There's trees on the bleacher side and a hill behind one endzone and the other sidline, but I don't think they protect the field much.

Duff, does the field run N/S or E/W?

First off, I doubt that the sprinklers will be on, because Olaf likes their team speed as well.  Second, it hopefully isn't a blowout either way. Also, why does it seem like a lot of people dislike Meidt?  I've only met the guy once, and I'll admit he may not make the best first impression, but why all the bashing?

I'd say because he is a classless prick, but I won't as I have not yet been accepted as a member of the Johnnie Classless Asshole Club!   ;D

Good Grief! I think the Twins are 0 for the series with runners in scoring position. Glad we got Johnnie Football.

STOLAF 155 passes, 180 rushes, 335 total plays. The extra rushing attempts must come in mop up time or when they were trying to run out the clock?

Ok, so why is Meidt a classless prick?  Not disagreeing, because I don't know him.  Just trying to see how he is perceived by others.

Yeah, stats usually dont mean buppkiss,  as in the BU/CC game.  There was no way that Bethel should have lost that game.  Had every stat going for them.  But here is a few stats that cannot be ignored tommorow.  St. Olaf leads the league in Pass Offense with 323 ypg.  SJU is rated 4th against the pass.  Olaf leads the league in Rush Defense.  They lead in Offensive pts per game, and pass yards per game, Kickoff return yards, and Total Offense per game.  I would say not to Shabby, but they are only stats.  PLUS they have really stupid song....

royalachilles

I absolutely hate the Oles, and hope that the Johnnies kick their ass.  But it will be close.  Come on guys, you dont get any closer than Catholics and Lutherans.
