I've got a pretty busy week.  I'll have to let you know about Wednesday.  The weather looks unfriendly to fishing, but sturgeon season closes Sunday and Wednesday might be my last time to get out.  When do you leave Thursday?  I could meet you over lunch.

You better get out there fishing - somebody has to do it  ;D

57, I'm taking a half day tomorrow to go fishing, but I'm hoping for Wednesday as well.  Unfortunately, snow is in the forecast for MN later this week :'(

Duffman, Thursday should work. I have to meet with a witness at 1:30 p.m. in Victoria. What if we met in Chanhassen around noon? If that would work, let me know.

If Wednesday fails, Thursday is fine with me.

Snow shouldn't affect fishing - just make sure you have enough snow snake medicine.   :P

I know of the 'heavy-set' man you are referring to and he is actually a self-proclaimed Carleton fan. He used to work at the Wendy's in Northfield and would berate Ole players when they walked in to the restaurant in their team gear.

Wait, if he worked at Wendy's wouldn't that make him a UST alum?  ;)

Carlton fan, at a STO game, ex-Wendy's employee, who attended classes at UST, morbidly obese, with a potty mouth..............

It's long weekend in Johnnie land!!!  Great game to schedule for it.....

I am still waiting for the Jay's O-Line to get it together.  Being it is, by far, the most important positions on the football team, manned by the most gifted and intelligent athletes, you know they will put it together in time for a nice post season rush!

It's so quiet from the Ole fans, on here, you'd think it was November 12th or something!!

Hello To All Johnnies!

I am going to propose this on here, and on the OAC board.  I think it's time for SJ and Mount to play a home/home opening game of the season.  That would be an awesome way to start the season.  I know I would really look forward to journeying to the SJU campus to experience a game at SJU first-hand.
Mount has Averett at home next year, but they are open the following year (2008) for the first game.  What is the Johnnies upcoming opener schedule look like for the next few years?

I just think it would be fitting for the winningest coach of all time, to play the winningest coach in the last decade and a half.

I know it seems like the Ole fans are quiet, but some of us were never obnoxiously talking crap on here in the first place.  I religiously read this board because I love football and love the MIAC but just don't feel the need to try and bash a football team that I have to worry about beating my team, and as it turns out that was a smart decision by me.  The Johnnies played far better than the Oles.  But that is not the Olaf team that I have seen all year.  I will not use excuses like the refs bad calling.  That is not what lost the game.  If your team should win, you should win regardless of the calls made against your team in the game.  It may have changed the momentum in the beginning but as a team they should have known that it sucks and to just bring it that much harder.  that did not happen.  Congrats on the win Johnnies!!  Good luck to all MIAC teams!   And good luck to the Oles, who knows might still make it to playoffs this year.

Skunks - I'm all for it!

Sounds like SJU is figuring some things out with their game. Thanks for the update Duff. Looking forward to a stomp on Saturday.

UST put their regular starting QB Ryan Jansen at TE and started the Sauer kid, who did a nice job.  Jansen is such a good athlete and is strong enough to play TE.  Evidently coaches are trying to put the best athletes on the field, which makes sense.

I know Sauer started some games for UST last year.  Was Jansen hurt last year, or did Jansen beat out Sauer at the beginning of this year?

BWB,

Nice post.  +k to you.

Stick around.  We need more non-Johnnies posters on here.

We saw more birds in 3 days than we did in the last 5 years combined. Reminded me of the good ol' days. I had heard they were on the start of the upswing in their cycle, but I can't imagine it getting any better.
It's really dry up in our neck of the woods this year. Maybe that has something to do with it.
We had breast of grouse fried in butter, grouse McNuggets, and tonight might be grouse and veggies and gravy in the crock pot. And a cold Hamm's. And the Johnnies are undefeated. Could life possibly be any better? Oh, I suppose the Twins could be playing tomorrow night, but...
