Hey,
I just visited the BU website to see who they were playing this weekend and see they don't have a game.  While visiting there, I noticed that Kirby Carr was defensive player of the week, second time this year.  Who decides that stuff??   Also, I don't remember him playing LB last year.

What would be a good game to see this weekend in the MIAC??

If you want a preview of what will happen on 11-11, visit Collegeville on Saturday around 1pm.

ROR: I had a mental lapse.  You are and continue to be a great football mind.

You don't like Sierra Nevada or other west coast brews?  Or is it that I don't bring Zima or fruity drinks?

Coming to you live from the Chaska Community Center. So nice to have the treadmill workout done for the day. Time to sit back with a cup of coffee and read some appellate decisions. :P

Speaking of appellate decisions, I was out in Hutchinson last night for an event where all seven of the Minnesota Supreme Court justices were present. One of the justices, Barry Anderson, is a Gustie grad. I asked him if he would be in Collegeville this Saturday when the Gusties come to town. He seemed somewhat puzzled by the question and then commented that he only went to two games while he was a student at Gustavus.

I thought for sure the Hutch ace reporter, Piperinsider, would be present for the event. It was a no-show. Piperinsider, had you been present, you could have gotten a photo of Chief Justice Russell Anderson bowing down before Johnnie Red for our county being the pilot project in the state for the MNCIS system. I kid you not! He was very complimentary and thanked me so much and then walked a few steps away from me, put his hands together and bowed in thanks. Made my week. :)

Reminder to everyone who will be attending the Stiftungsfestivities this Saturday: bring along some exotic jello and/or jello shots in honor of the "We Love Lutherans and green jello" theme. Veek and Fins are in charge. Raiderguy will be transporting the burger and Paris Hilton cd. Fins, remember to purchase some charcoal. I will send the donation tube along with Raiderguy to help cover the expenses.

Well, at least we can say the Twins didn't choke as bad as the Yankees over the last 5 years!

Some amazingly useless info in that article!

PS. How did a rambling idiot like me get to the threshold of 500k?

+k everyday for a lifetime to anyone who can figure that one out!

What the heck, +k to everyone in celebration of the fact that I got to eat a 4 course meal with different types of wine with each course all FREE!! courtesy of Aventis Pharmaceuticals, the makers of Lovenox and many other Name brand drugs that will be generic by the time I am legal to prescribe them!

Gotta love the new pharmaceutical marketing laws; they cannot have dinners promoting their product. They can have educational dinners where they provide the food, pens and stuff prmoting their product and of course the alcohol. Since the dinners are supposed to be educational, they can't prevent med students from coming, so the real winners with the new laws are guys like me!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Snow...great.  At least it's not sticking.

Did anyone happen to catch the Ortiz/Shamrock 3 Ultimate Fighter last night?

Talk about Ortiz just beating the piss out of Shamrock in just over 2 min.

Ortiz 2, Shamrock 1

Scrubby,
If you want to watch a good game, go to Wisconsin for the Whitewater/La Crosse showdown!

Yeah, I saw that...Ortiz absolutely owned Shamrock...but a minor correction to your post.....

Ortiz has never lost to Shamrock...therefore, it should read:

Ortiz 3, Shamrock 0

Ortiz has one by TKO 2 times and a decision 1 time...next Ortiz fights Liddell in December which should be huge...Liddell KO'd Ortiz in the 2nd round...freakin' wasted him!

Mighty Royal

MR- Didn't Shamrock beat Ortiz the first match they had against each other? I remember the second  and this on obviously but I could have sworn Shamrock won one. It would not have been worth while to have a rematch twice if the same guy won each time. Although I'm not 100% positive I think it is 2-1 in favor of Ortiz.

JR- Congratulations on your honor at the dinner last night. When I'm Governor, you'll be my 1st choice for Chief, then you can do the bowing. And thanks for taking care of the burgers, even though you'll be elsewhere. I'll take care of the charcoal. Or I could just nuke 'em in the PA microwave, then people will really miss you.  :)

KR- congrats on your milestone. I have my theories, but I'll keep them to myself for now. And welcome to the pharmaceutical gravy train. Not much has changed for my doc friends other than having to fashion some educational purpose for their golf/hunting/fishing trips to exotic locales. 8)

And some of you guys may as well be speaking Chinese.  Shamrock is an Irish symbol and Ortiz is the fat one that the Twins let get away. WTF?

realistic

Wow Fellas.....usually by the time I get to work there are pages of posts to read, just one today.  Are you all in a lull with the twins out of it?  Go ahead and jump on the bandwagon of the Mets...it'll be fun.

Anyway - enjoy the snow....gotta say I don't miss that coming this early, I walked to work today in just my shirtsleeves.

JR-
When you were reviewing apellate decisions, did you happen to come across this one?

In Minnesota Court of Appeals
A05-2002
County of Morrison, Respondent, vs. Gordon K. Wheeler, Sr., et al., Appellants.

Morrison County District Court, Hon. Thomas A. Godzala.

A municipality that substitutes or amends an existing ordinance regulating adult establishments does not bear a heightened burden to produce evidence showing that the ordinance serves a substantial government interest.
Affirmed.  Judge R. A. (Jim) Randall.

Looks like the County's action is upheld, and Veek and Ritz are going to have to find a new hangout.  :'(
