My saying is:

A man owes his success to his first wife and his second wife to his success.

The other day the wife said, "Be home from work on time or don't bother coming home."  I asked her if she was really asking me to choose.

I always introduced mine as "my future ex-wife".

How prophetic. 8)

I think they call that a self-fulfilling prophesy :D

Great Gags quote from Theory of Football:

"When I married Peg, I told her that we were gonna run our marriage like I ran the football team. She'd make all the minor decisions and I'd make all the big decisions. I'll be damned if there hasn't been a big decision in 52 years!"

Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

MR;

What did they have to say? Lemme guess, "She needs surgery."

Kinda like asking a butcher what to have for dinner.

In respose to the CNFOTD (Chuck Norris Facts of the Day), I would like to start the SJU version in honor of today's Birthday boy, Happy Birthday GUY Bellair!

Guy Bellair doesn't bleed when he is cut, crisco slowly oozes out.

Today's GBFOTD brought to you by Texas; proudly making the rest of the country smell funny since 1845.

This has obviously been one the minds of the Cobber football family for a while, and now it has been made public.  Thoughts and prayers are definitely with this young man. We're behind you DC, kick the crap out of this thing

RB George Rogers, about the upcoming season:
"I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."

Every day is Guy Bellair's birthday!

I would like to add 1 Guy Bellair fact of the day: I was not there, so this may be an urban legend, but I doubt it ;)  Back in Texas, Guy was known far and wide some say he was a legend in his own mind. 8)

Happy Birthday to the Best Defensive Lineman in the History of SJU FootballGuy Belliar!

Looks like the meat will arrive with a purple-clad escort. I've got charcoal and buns and ketchup. I don't know, what else do we need? Mustard? Chips? Cheese? Dessert? Jello shots?

Who's coming? Pick an item.

Looks like 9 at the earliest for me, shooting for no later than 9:30. Grills lit at 10. Any Gusties coming?

Odd's are looking very favorable for the return of the Award winning brats from Lakes Processing. I will plan on bringing 3 doz with buns!

Boys, The odds weren't as good as I thought. I will not be attending the festivities tomorrow! Sorry Veek, you will have to be in charge of providing the brats! Good luck to the J's and hope the festivities go well!

BDB, +k for starting my Friday out right! Wow!!
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

True fact (I saw it with my own eyes):

Guy Bellair once rehabbed a supposed "torn ACL" in one day.

Happy Birthday GUY BELLAIR!

A tradition unrivaled...

What to wear today...I'm leaning towards the light blue searsucker bermudas, with red boots and the green leather blazer sans shirt. I know I always liked that look on TDT.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I'm wondering-- can they do this at Bethel?

Injury report from that same article:

» Several players have taken the early part of this week to rest nagging injuries. Quarterback Alex Kofoed (dislocated right thumb), defensive end Kevin McNamara (elbow), linebacker Josh Rose (hip flexor) and defensive tackle Steve LeVoir (tricep) are among those who sat out all or parts of practices early on this week. All but LeVoir were back Thursday and all are expected to play Saturday.

» Junior James Shockman, who is among those rotating at inside linebacker, separated a shoulder against St. Olaf last week and is expected to sit out Saturday.

Did anyone happen to see who threw out the first pitch of last nights NLCS?

It was Darryl Strawberry!  Oh yes, that isn't a typo.

Obviously, if you have a good career, do cocaine everyday and go to jail for 2/3 of a year(each year).  Why not let him throw out the first pitch.  He represents the Mets well.  Any comments?

Johnnie Esq:

Is this the politically correct way to say "They want to meet women"? ;D

"I ask them to be very specific about what they want to get out of the class and what they want to work on. I'll incorporate some of that. I don't expect them all to become great dancers. But I do expect them to make improvements on what they're trying to do."

105-
It just missed us...I guess Buffalo has power outages all over the place with 2 feet of snow....it was a narrow band of lake effect snow, so it wasn't widespread enough to hit the Rochester area...kind of wished I was snowed in today, watching a movie in front of a fire...oh well

Mighty Royal

No movie, just a fire if you don't have power....unless you have a back-up generator like I do ;) I was out of power once when I was a kid, for 3 days....then pops bought a back-up generator. I took his advice when I bought my first house. Better to have it & never use it ;)
