OK, #4 in a row here.

I'm glad John took that PF.  I cannot believe they waived off that flag.  The receiver gets grabbed by the collar and dragged down and you waive the flag off?   Come on.

For those that missed it, it was the classic hat throw and stomp.  Patented Gagliardi move.  I love that man!

Shoot, 5 in a row.

The tail of the tape:

First downs:
Hamline-3
SJU-23

Total yards:
Hamline-62
SJU-449

Tough to win a game with stats like that.

Tommies suck.  KR, will you be there?

OMR: What happened to your boy Anthony Schmidt?

I think he had a quadriceps problem earlier in the year.  Don't know if that has cleared
up or not.  If so, I think the inactivity let some other guys show their stuff and they
are getting the job done.  Like Anthony did last year.

Anyone know if that former Northern Colorado punter is out on bail?   ;D

Last I saw, they just charged him with ATTEMPTED MURDER. Wouldn't it have been better to just practice a little harder.

To the Tommies - to quote Walter Sobczek, " Do you know what happens when you f%#k a stranger in the a$$?"

Mighty Royal. You should go to the WIAC board and tout Porta over the now injured Justin Beaver. They will smite you like a rented mule. I'd like to take an MIAC guy (even though he plays for Bethel) over a WIAC guy any day.

MR--
Congrats to Porta on his record, as someone earlier said he is a tough runner and I can speak for only one current  defensive player who concurs with that assessment.
Regarding most of the SJU comments, just ignore them and know your boy is one special player and nothing can take that away from him.  Glad to see that BU beat the Oles.

Nice win for the Tommies today in Moorhead, looking forward to next Saturday and hope UST brings their A-game cuz they will need it.  Hope for a more competitive game than last year.

Congrats to Porta.  He is one hell of a back.

The J's had a slow start today but got it turned around after the first quarter.  It was great to hear that Gearman was getting the ball regularly today.  Hopefully we will continue to see more of the same the rest of this season.

Duff, thanks for the recap of Gag's PF.  I wish I had been there to witness it.
Go Johnnies!!!

Not looking real good at this point. I will more than likely be in South-western MN chasing pheasants.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Kicker Watch;

Congratulations to new Johnnie kicker Russell Gliadon... as the the third player to kick extra points this season I'd have to think he's your new kicker... welcome to the party Russell!

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Stiftungsfestivities yesterday. The only thing missing was the Paris Hilton cd, which Raiderguy left home. :'( I will make sure it is present for the Stiftungfestivities we will be having this coming Saturday morning at Tommieland. The SJU Alumni Association will be joining us. I should be in the parking lot by the stadium around 9:00 a.m.

As always, we will want to have more Johnnie fans in the stadium than the Tommies. Hope the weather cooperates.

My congrats to Porta on setting the new rushing record. Given the tradition of the MIAC, it is quite the accomplishment.

Any comment I've made on here is based on seeing BU play.  I wouldn't say I'm bias because of it.  I've made it clear from the very start that the only games I've seen are ones that BU has played in.  I've also made it clear that my grandson has shown an interest in BU and that's why we have watched them play over the past few years.  I'm sure if I had seen SJU play this year, I'd make comments about them as well, that wouldn't make me bias towards them.  Anyway, I see this site has nothing to do with making comments about football, just dipsh-t's ragging on each other.  Best of luck to "ALL" teams tomorrow and god forbid if BU wins, it will piss off alot of people if they do!!

I believe you should use the term biased, not bias. :P

Congrats to Porta for breaking the rushing record, what an accomplishment.  But if Bobby Clark didn't wreck his knee senior year, he would have it.  Haha....kidding!

Another tough day in Moorhead on Saturday.  Sounded like a sputtering offense with low passing yards and TO's.  But they will keep working hard, we got a tough Carelton game this week.

Amazing game at the HHH Dome yesterday.  NDSU is awesome, UM not!  I sat in the NDSU section with thousands of Bison fans.  And they were loud.  NDSU should have won the game, but had a last second field goal blocked.  Bison could run and pass the ball all over the gopher D, and the gopher offense passed the ball all day and put in some runs here and there.  I believe that the win might save Mason's job til the end of the season, but who knows from there.  Bohl might have a great chance of getting an extension in the near future.  I think he might be getting some offers from some D-1A programs soon.  I believe that he coached at Nebraska before he came to NDSU.

Did anyone take pics yesterday?

I believe it is a foregone conclusion that there will be more red and white in the stadium than purple on Saturday.  Meteorologist Dusty: What's the forecast?  Need to craft the gameplan according to Mother Nature...

Veek: I hope you are feeling better now.  I trust you will leave hibernation in Little Falls and attend the much touted AWAY game versus the Tommies.  You'll enjoy the "scenery" or are they already bundled up for winter in MN??

VOJ

Congrats to Porta...he is awesome, Johnnies will have to have "A" game on 11.11 to contain him...my question is...what happened to that BU defense?  I thought it was so great that you could not move the ball on them?  29 points for Olaf signals offensive success for the J's....

The Tommies are teasing their fans once again...offering success against everyone else but in reality when the Johnnies hit O'Shaugnessy(soon to be renamed Clemens South) the pretenders will be ratted out...

Guys, just because the offense struggled in the 1st Q don't fret, so they are slow starting, or give a little credit to Hamline, they put together a defensive gameplan you know...and it takes some time for the Johnnies to find the weaknesses, but they did and made them pay, just like they will do against the Tommies.

I took some Stiftungsphotos, and I'll get them up later.  For now, I'm gonna go freeze my cajones off in search of some fat fall bass.
