Knights...the offense is awful...your offensive line is horribe, just being honest.  Allowing 9 sacks backs that up, and there could have been two or three more if Sauer was not so mobile.  The Tomm's coaching staff never caught on to the fact that Wimmer was running a delayed blitz on passing plays, no back kept in to block and your line could not handle the front 4 of SJU much less a blitzing backer

The defense hits hard, but you can move the ball on them, there are holes and your linebackers can't keep up with our rb/wr that we use in the slot, if SJU had not fumbled on two possessions inside the 5 it would and should have been 41 or more to 7.

Don Roney being at UST is the best thing that has happened to Johnnies football since John Gagliardi came. 0-9 and counting...By the way...early prediction Oles 45 Tommies 14

Saint John's Makes History, Wins All Four Fall Season MIAC Titles
COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (10/28/06) - For the first time in school history, Saint John's claimed conference championships in all four fall season sports. SJU won a share of the MIAC title in football and the outright championships in cross country and soccer on Saturday, Oct. 28. to go along with the MIAC golf championship earned at the beginning of the month.

"All four"? Since when did we start counting 120-pound runners and dudes with hair down to their shoulders ahead of girls in spandex? Or doesn't johnniepress think volleyball is a sport? I'll agree with dance team, but I have to draw the line somewhere...

Willy- Go watch some girls basketball.

Maybe it did. Look around you Frank. Are there 2 really long metal things going both ways from you?

Fins - unless I'm reading the MIAC website incorrectly, it appears the Johnnies & Gusties tied for the co-championship in soccer this season?  And shouldn't it read -"guaranteed at least a share of the football championship & could win outright if blah, blah, blah..."  ;)

ROR;   Nice job with the photos... particularly the ones with the cutie wearing the SJU cheeleader set and the ones of the security guard.... he was awesome!

Did you have the camera next to his nose when you shot those pics?!

Dusty,

I kind of figured you'd have a couple of favorites.

I asked the rather impressive gentleman in the uniform if I could take his picture
before I did so.  I told him to give me the meanest look he could and he just laughed.

Good thing the competition yesterday wasn't between rent a cops.  I think it would have
been UST in a Monkey Stomp.

Dang, I hope my drool didn't get all over my comp. screen, those burgers looked AMAZING!!

Wish I could have been there sportin' the blue and gold before the Ham/BU game!!!

Wish I could be there on the 11th!

Mighty Royal

MR, I'm thinking maybe a conference call to a little trash talking before the game on the 11th.  We'll let you smell JR's burgers over the phone.  ;D

MR- you have had the world famous burgers before, they taste better every time I have one. If ROR does call you on the 11th, I'll be chowing one down so you can get the full effect ;D

BTW- when you get done with grad school, are there plans to come back to MN or just where ever a job lands you?

No game pics?  ???  Likes the pics of the security guard, though - looks like he should have been wearing an Oakland Raiders hat.  +k for the pics, ROR.

Already stoked for the Royals.  So, Fins - you going to join us that weekend?  (If you want to shoot deer, we have plenty here in the neighborhood that I have to drive around on the way to work in the morning.  Come visit!)

Thanks, ROR.... were there any "contests" to write home about?

No "contests" of any kind.  Most of the participants from last year were absent.  Those present were encumbered by wives, girlfriends, etc.  :'(

Encumbered?  Steph filmed the contests last year and has been known to shotgun a beer or two herself.

A tradition unrivaled...
