GAC faithful,
Who will stand out the most for off/def for this weekend's game?

With your running offense, I'd imagine DT Nick David and LB Jared Sieling (younger bro of Isaac) will be around the ball all day. GAC is much better at stopping the run than the pass, as Augsburg found out from one half to the other. If I was the opposing team, my game plan would be like P.Manning did today to Darrent Williams with CB Brian Evans.

On offense...the Gusties really haven't established an identity that I can tell. QB Stolp apparently has the potential to be great, but seems to shoot himself in the foot more often than not (RE: career TD/INT ratio). GAC rotates 3 guys in at RB, though the stats say Mitch Anderson has been far-and-away the most productive. WR Chad Arlt and Kerry Zajicek are about the other two guys you have to worry about in the passing game. If you look closely, you might be able to tell where Stolp is throwing as he makes his pre-snap reads and, given the way the stats bear out, doubling one guy late might lead to multiple Roethlisberger-like throws.

With the way the Cobbs seem to be struggling with an identity as well, I think it should be a good game. If I were Horan, I'd get game film from the Doggies and erase the second half. The first half was the best you'll see the Gusties play this year I'd wager, with the second being close to the worst.

As for Hoag, he was in GAC coaching gear this last weekend. I think he was up in the booth. He hasn't heard anything since his Sid reported his last tryout to my knowledge.

PS - How's that for an informative post at 2:15 am on daylight savings weekend (meaning it's really 3:15)? :)

Wonka,
Are you making the trip to Moorhead this Saturday?

If you haven't figured it out yet, CC is a running team.  So it should be a good game.

So far this season, CC still has yet to THROW a TD pass.  So I don't know if your secondary will get much action.  Although I was told that Horan wants to try and air it out a bit more.  This will be done by going to 3 receiver sets, with 3 WR, not 2 RB and 1 WR.

I agree Darren Williams got embarrassed last night!  Peyton M. made him look like a JV player, I thought it was comical.  Manning didn't even look to go to Harrison, who was covered by Bailey.  Yet, he didn't have to.  Wayne was making all the plays.

For the sake of getting to know everyone on this board a little better, I was wondering if everyone here is Minnesota/Big Ten fans. Obviously most everyone here is more D3 oriented, but it'd still be interesting to find out what everybody's favorite D1 program is.

I like Miami football and Duke Lacross.  ;)

Did you make it in the trough or did you hit the floor?  ;D

Actually the sink - someone else was in the stall and I have entirely too much class to do something like that on the floor  ;)

Ritz keep me posted on how my new "mink" undies are coming...

The CO was flowing all day......Saturday we gassed about 500 and Sunday another 500.

The undies are warm, but the hit of the season is always the "Mink Pecker" earrings that are the talk of the town around Christmas time.  If anyone would like a pair for their better 1/2, PM me, and I can arrange for them!

Predictions for MNF:

Tony K. will have a lame joke and say something stupid, Mike T. will say nothing important, and Joe T. will introduce the unknown celebrity that will show up between the beginning of the 2nd quarter and the end of the 3rd.  My guess:  Garnett, Cunningham, C. Carter.

Oh, the score:

MIN  24
NE   21

Anyone elses thoughts?
