farley, what school does your brother run for? I ran into a gal from my hometown yesterday who graduated with my youngest brother in high school. She was an All-American at Iowa State as a runner. She has a daughter who runs for Minnetonka. Minnetonka finished second in Class AA.

Always a great experience going to the state meets. Get to see coaches who were coaching back when I was in high school. Always nice to see Hank Larsen, the coach from Glencoe-Silver Lake.

Alright, enough cross country chatter.  This is almost as painful as the soccer banter between Mighty Royal and Wonka.  btw: Godfather I could swear I saw you at Camp Randall yesterday getting rowdy in the student's section.

Thanks your President

FYI: I have it under good authority that we may have a special guest appearance from 56321 next weekend.  Monmouth and UWW attendees will remember his famous Polishes...

False.  I have forgotten everything about the UWW game.

I remember shotgunning a 16oz Milwaukees Best Ice (thanks, TC)...but I wouldn't recommend doing that to anyone.

Those Polish Sausages are to die for.  Hope you're coming, 56321, and not just for the meal ;D

So, with Linfield's 3rd loss, can BC(u) get in with a loss on Saturday?  Is the MIAC worthy of two bids this year, regardless of Saturday's outcome?

It took me until today to recover from the monsoon at Linfield. I have never been that soaking wet and fully clothed at the same time. :D I was going to try to take some notes, but both my program and the paper that I had brought pretty much disintegrated in the rain. What a sloppy mess! Thank God for artificial turf! I am not the expert (by any stretch of the imagination) that you guys are, but here are my over all impressions. Whitworth played a good game, and I don't want to take anything away from those boys, but it felt more like Linfield lost the game than Whitworth won it (if that makes any sense). Linfield had some extremely inopportune fumbles, interceptions, etc. Whitworth seemed to get their best field position courtesy of these mistakes rather than their ability to move the ball effectively. I just looked at the stats and Whitworth had 85 total offense yards!! In weather like it was yesterday, I would have thought that both teams would have been running the ball, but that wasn't the case. I don't know if that says more about each teams run defense or their opponent's run offence... The quarterbacks for both teams were the ones that were running the ball. Whitfield's QB tried to run the ball 16 times and Linfield's QB had the most rushing yards for them. In Whitworths case, it seem to be because of designed plays. It felt like Linfield's QB just had a case of "happy feet". His offensive line seemed to be giving him plenty of time and he was never sacked! Both QB's were pretty good sized, obviously mobile guys, but the Linfield QB had the better arm. The Whitworth D came up big when they needed to, but they weren't all that dominate...just lucky! The Linfield D did a good job (holding WC to 85 offensive yards!!!), but with the Linfield O giving away the ball, they had a tough job to do. It was hard to judge the kicking games for either teams because of the weather. Some really good kicks/punts...some crappy ones. After the game, the easiest way to tell the fans apart was that the Linfield fans were the relatively dry unhappy fans (the home bleachers are covered) and the Whitworth fans were the dripping wet ecstatic fans. Apparently Whitfield hadn't beat Linfield in 13 years!

Anybody attending the Hopkins/St. Cloud Tech game on Friday night?  I'll be there filiming it for Hopkins.  What does anybody know about the Tech Tigers?
Hopkins has really put it together the last few weeks and has gotten some breaks.

Nice, good report Bennie.  Thank you very much.  Will need more details when Whitworth comes to Collegeville on Nov. 25.  Did you attend the tailgate hosted by GHC and Coco?

Good show bennie. Now get ready for Saturday. I've got your seat reserved. Sounds like ZIP will be at 56321 with his famous Polish Dogs.  ;)

No tailgating. Before the game I did girly things like go to the mall in the Portland burbs and buy make-up at Sephoria! I don't know if I should be disappointed or proud that I went to 3 different malls (2 before 1 after the game) and spent less than $50! :D Anyway, I would have liked to have gotten to the Linfield campus a bit earlier than I did, but I underestimated how horrible Highway 99 is. It took me close to an hour to travel about 30 miles! I feel sorry for the Linfield fans that have to drive that route every weekend!! It definitely made my blood pressure increase! :P

As much fun as it was being at the game, I am looking forward to a nice warm/dry Johnnie football listening experience with all you guys! ;D

TT, the person you saw in the student section at Camp Randall who looks like me is my Badger son. Hard to believe he is already a senior.

Do you work for/have a connection with Hopkins HS in the Twin Cities? My sister-in-law works there.
