BU Posters, don't post at all this week.  Anyone that has made a positive comment about BU football out here gets ripped on.  It never stays on the topic of football, just dump remarks from those that can't stand BU. Saying that, this is my only remarks for the week (which i'm sure will make most of you happy, I know that and I'm a big boy and can handle it).   I think it will be a good game.  I had the chance to watch SJU play St. Thomas last week and they are very good.  Actually, both teams played well.  I think SJU has the better all around offense.  BU has a better running game, SJU better passing.  Both teams have outstanding defenses.  I think it will come down to two things; can BU's pass defense hold up  vs SJU passing game?  Can SJU stop BU's running game?
Who will win the special teams and field postion part of the game?  My thoughts, SJU 24-BU 21.

One postive comment about the BU/SJU game and comparing it to the UST/SJU game.  The comment is that I am quite confident that I won't be told by Bethel fans that I like dick.  At least twice during the  UST game idiot students from UST felt the need to tell me that I had an affection for a certain male body part.

I don't know what dump remarks are.  I'll bet you don't stay away, Scrubby, but I sure hope you do.

Anybody attending the Hopkins/St. Cloud Tech game on Friday night?  I'll be there filiming it for Hopkins.  What does anybody know about the Tech Tigers?
Hopkins has really put it together the last few weeks and has gotten some breaks.

Do you work for/have a connection with Hopkins HS in the Twin Cities? My sister-in-law works there.

I teach at Hopkins.  Who is your sister-in-law?

Vice-Principal (Assistant Principal?) Mary Slinde.

Mary and her husband were talking about you.  I put on a little tailgate party prior to the Hopkins section final game.
They thought I looked like an old pro cooking up burgers and hot dogs.  I said never ran a tailgate party before but that I  learned everything I needed about running a tailgate celebration by watching JohnnieRed.  The discussion soon turned to D3football.com.

I thought I would challenge Zbikowski (sp?) to a boxing match as well ::)

Wouldn't you rather challenge him in a soccer game? ;D

Are you going to make it up to Collegeville this weekend to support your boys?

I would leave the grandson at home while there's still a chance he attends Bethel.  Wouldn't want to ruin it for him.

TT, the person you saw in the student section at Camp Randall who looks like me is my Badger son. Hard to believe he is already a senior.

Which means soon he'll be running un-opposed for vacant Carver County offices  ;D :o

If by staying away, Scrubby means not post, it'll last about 9 days like it did last time he promised he was done.

If by staying away, we'll probably spot him lurking about every other day like I have in the past week, which is funny since I'm one about twice a day tops.

KR,

How is med school going.  I don't get to see my son all that much.  He is studying all the time.  Said he got a 90 on his last test it was a 4 hour long one.  You guys put in the hours don't you.  How do you see the big game.  Do you think Bethel can win?  I think the Johnnies will win but they have to play and bring the A game.  Thats just what i feel from reading the board and looking at the stats.  Good luck to both teams this weekend.  This is where you wanted to be at the start of the season.  Down to the last game with your own fate in your hands.

Not sure if the comment about new BU posters coming out of the woodwork was directed at me for giving the score of the BU/Aug game since no one else had.

My only comment about Saturday's game is this.  Bethel will be be lucky to lose by less than 10.  They are like the Vikes in that they never win the ones that matter.

Willy Wonka

If Bethel is to Minnesota as Wetzell is to BJ, I'd get the back up quarterback ready on Saturday.

Wonka gets more and more depressed every time he watches BJ throw check downs only to hear commentators compliment him on having veteran decision-making skills. Is it too much to ask for him to make a play every 4th game at least???

I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

School's going great!
Rotations are a million times better than class, you actually get to do stuff instead of listening to people talk at you for 4-5 hours at a time.
Congrats to your son, I talked to a guy I know who is a first year (A Bethel grad nonetheless) and when he told me what Anatomy test was coming up, I told him "Good Luck!"
As far as the game, I can give my biased opinion, but it will be just that since I've only seen SJU twice this year and the most recent time was the Carleton game for homecoming the end of September. I also haven't seen Bethel play since fall 2003, so I'm definitely not the guy to ask on that one.

Can Bethel win? Yes, it is possible, but Porta would need the (fumble-free) game of his life, Bethel's D would need the game of their season and force multiple SJU turnovers and other mistakes. The odds of that all coming together; not that great, but it is possible.

Tell your son congrats on his stellar exam score! As I've mentioned before, hit me up with an e-mail or a PM, or have him drop me an e-mail through the school system (Dusty Schuett) if he has any questions/wants any advice from a guy who survived 3rd year or wants to hear from first-hand experience that there is light at the end of the tunnel!

KR,
What are your chances of being in Collegeville this weekend?

Since I have to work/be on rotations 20 miles south of Des Moines until 2PM on Saturday, I'd say that TDT has better odds of getting lucky with a Bethel co-ed beneath the visitor stands during the game :-\
