I'd love to see that-- Wetzell would be on his back most of the afternoon if they try that!  Besides, ask UWRF how going into the bone formation worked for them against the Johnnies.

You obviously weren't at the UWRF game.  The Falcons no longer run the 'bone.

I was there duff, but they ran some variations on it, I thought.  But it was so late in the game it didn't really matter.

But who else would run option on 3rd and 8 from the Johnnie 40 yard line than UWRF?

A random comment, maybe someone has already brought it up:

Recent Bethel Players hold the all-time MIAC records for both rushing yards and passing yards.

Porta - Rushing
Kirchoff - Passing

Before that UST held both records with Barckley and Stallings.

That led me to think of whether Kofoed could break Kirchoff's record. A couple things go against Kofoed; Macalaster no longer counts as a conference game and Kirchoff did have a red-shirt.

Kofoed has a redshirt from 2003 as he broke his foot during the summer.

The White Silly

I strongly believe that the winner of this game, as is true in all games (especially championship games), will be the team that runs the most trick plays.  Trick plays are vital.  Not neccesarily executing them to perfection but just simply doing lots of them.  The more you do the higher probability that you will get lucky on a few here and there, and luck wins games.  Some of you might counter that there is a better chance for turnovers as well...personally I don't buy it.  It's all mental.  The silliest team will bring home the State Championship.  What can I say?...I love my trick plays...Bethel wins on a last second flea flicker...

Didn't know that, but what I was trying to get at was Kirchoff had a few extra games because he got hurt early in the year. If I recall, Kofoed didn't play at all in '03.

I have NO idea what you are talking about.   ;D

BTW, my wife met your Junior Senator last week at a book signing in Minneapolis.  Also, my son is absentee voting in Minnesota, not Chicago.  Although, since he is in Chicago...

Then I show up and break the string. :P

To TDT and his minions: The Bethel stomp will have to be done without me. That's OK though, the only thing you should notice is the large bare spot in the parking lot and there might be Hamm's left over.

Glad this was a bye week...only 13 pages to catch up on. Spent an enjoyable weekend deer hunting near Motley. Fins, Jr. shot a nice doe yesterday afternoon. Out of 8 guys, 2 past and 4 current SJU students. No Royals, Tommies, Gusties or Cobbers. One Huskie and one Terp, though.
